The location is mind blowing and the view from the room overlooking Lake Geneva and the mountains is just fantastic. Rooms are quite big, with a nice table, desk, two chairs, cupboard, with space to keep bags too. Bathroom is small but well designed. The staff is also very helpful with a smile on their face. There is no AC nor a fan in the room, but because it’s lake facing, it was quite cool in the night.
The railway station access is literally a stone’s throw, but through stairs up and down. There’s an elevator too but at a little distance away. The directions to use the elevator if required are very well explained on their website. The pier for the boat rides is also just a 2 mins walk away. One can just relax on their Sun deck or go down to the lake side and sit for hours!
The buffet breakfast spread is also good. They have warm selection of food for vegetarians too which was rare to find in any of the Swiss hotels we stayed in during our stay! Fresh fruits, juice, choice of breads was also delicious.
Facilities: Well-equipped facilities.
Cleanliness: The cleanliness was poor; there were even spiderwebs on the balcony.
Service: The female staff I encountered were generally very good, enthusiastic, and attentive. However, two middle-aged male staff members (I forgot to ask their names) were overly 'sharp' in their service. They kept aggressively pushing the hotel's paid parking and refused to provide details about the public parking lot next door. It only took a young female staff member a couple of sentences to explain it clearly.
The room offers a nice view and is equipped with air conditioning. Complimentary drinks were provided, including juice, beer, and bottled water, which was a pleasant touch.
Another highlight is that the hotel is located right next to the Christmas market, making it very convenient to watch the Flying Santa. Overall, a great location with some small drawbacks for travelers with luggage.
