Rimkhobfa Urban Resort in Samut Prakan

The hotel facilities are excellent, and the front desk service was truly outstanding. Its location within the scenic area, as a resting place in Quxian Ancient City, is perfect for checking in and enjoying after a day of sightseeing. In the evening, I went to a fantastic Thai restaurant next to a hotpot place, enjoying a delicious meal. I also had the pleasure of experiencing a local temple fair at the nearby Dai Tian Temple.

The ancient city itself is definitely worth a visit. The historical defense structures, now 63 years old, have been transformed into a captivating sight. Experiencing such a visual feast all in one day was truly amazing.

We booked this hotel for the last leg of our trip, mainly to visit hhe Ancient City" and for its access to the airport. The location was perfect, the airport was around 40 minutes away by Grab and cost us 520 baht.

Our room was very spacious with twin beds ( both queen size) . It was well equipped with a mini fridge, hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities, making it comfortable for a short stay.

The hotel has a decent-sized, well-maintained swimming pool.(not heated) There are also separate male and female saunas, both of which were well looked after and a nice extra.

Breakfast was a buffet and there was a good selection of Thai dishes alongside fruit, yoghurt and toast, and everything we tried was fresh and tasted great.

One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its proximity to the Ancient City. The entrance is just a few minutes’ walk away, making it ideal if you plan to explore. We spent around seven hours walking the entire site. The ticket office is about a 15-minute walk, but reception can take you there in a golf cart if needed.

Top tip: buy your tickets online. They’re around half the price of the ticket office.

On the main road near the hotel and the Ancient City entrance, there are plenty of songtaews running regularly. We used them to travel to Big C and Robinson, both about 10 minutes away, and paid just 20 baht each.

Overall, a great base for visiting the Ancient City, with spacious rooms, helpful staff, excellent value.

Great hotel for those wanting to explore the Ancient City. Very friendly staff and free shuttle service to the park and front of resort. Rooms nice, large, and clean. Aircon is super loud but effective.

Just amazing!!! Staff really kindly and helpfull room really big and cleaned with views to the park, restaurant and breakfast really yummy ( delicious chicken soup ), after a long day walking in the park you could take a nice sauna and rest in the swimming pool.... Next time in Bangkok i'll back as sure!!! ( I read a comentary mentioning rats ****, only are gecko **** and is good for you because eat mosquitos!!! )
