Hub of Joys Hostel in Lanta Island

Best stay in all Koh Lanta, 2min from the beach right next to muay thaï camp and gym.

I stayed in Koh Lanta 20 days and the staff is the best I ever saw, giving us local tarifs on activities which is the cheapest I have ever seen compared to all tourists traps.
You can rent a scooter for the cheapest on the island.

As it was not enough the pad thai, fried rice and green curry are the Biggest portion I have ever experienced of meal for 70-80 Baht, and it’s so so good. + You’ve got the breakfast with fruits omelette and cakes which is completely decent knowing it’s included in the night Price.
Special Thanks to all the staff especially to the boss and to Yoni, these people are ones of the kindest.

Also if you are French don’t hesitate there is a lot of us there ;)

Really liked that hostel. Located 3min. walk from Long Beach and is surrounded by a lot of restaurants. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and there are curtains. The lady at reception was very helpful with planning trips. Scooter rental was available for 200Baht/24h. Free breakfast is delicious.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Wonderful, friendly, attentive staff. Good sized beds, with typical accessories.

Calm hostel, but sociable. It has 2 locations (4 buildings apart). When looking at them from the street, you check in to the one on the right. This is also where the very tasty (and free) breakfast is served each morning!

Very cute family run hostel. The “boss” is super helpful And friendly. Its clean, wifi works splendid. You get welcome drink when u first check in And They also provide free breakfast. You can rent a bike And plenty Of tours And all that. They also prepare some local thai food at very reasonable prices And it was yummy.
Its a no shoes policy hostel, which i found very cool.
What i didnt like tho, quite small bathroom For so many people But actually never had to wait so maybe Its Okay.

Hub Of Joys is a lovely hostel with a wonderful manager. The building is well maintained plus the rooms and common area are clean. There’s a number of excellent restaurants nearby (even in low season) and there’s a medical clinic close by if that’s something you need. There is beach access maybe 2 mins away, and the section of the beach is pretty clean and very picturesque. If you want to rent scooters, they are reasonably priced and appear to be well maintained.

One of the big bright spots here is the complimentary breakfast of fresh fruit, eggs made to order, and various other snacks. It was delicious and helped reduce our costs throughout the day. The other particularly bright spot is the manager, Rah. She is a very nice person who can help you with any part of your trip, including giving travel advice and booking connections/tours. I can’t recommend Hub Of Joys enough.

I had a really nice stay here.
Hostel owner is there for you all the time and knows everything.
The rooms are wonderful.
Everything a backpacker could possibly wish for.
Free breakfast and a cheap motorbike rental in the hostel.

We have enjoyed our stay here so much. The people were all so welcoming and extremely generous. The atmosphere was very calming and it almost felt like a little family :) we also really enjoyed the food. Above all it was an amazing experience staying at your resort !! We have absolutely no complains and would definitely recommend it! much love from Germany :))

Great hostel experience for 3 nights - warm and helpful hosts who are very accommodating.

Fantastic value for money, good beds in well sized air-conditioned dorms. Bathrooms adequate. Cherry on the top is the free breakfast (choice of eggs plus noodles and pastries as well as tea/coffee)

Bike rental and the transfer service
could be improved but this seems to be an external issue (old bikes and complicated transfer routes through external companies)

Stayed in a dorm room at the start of 2022 and was so impressed by the staff, they really went out of their way to look after us, including checking our breakfast for allergens each day and arranging tours and transport - a challenge during Covid times.

The beds were quite hard, as is Thai style and early morning prayers may interrupt your sleep but the location is good and the staff so wonderful.
