Suitable only for a one night stay, and then only, and I mean only, if there is no room left in the inn. Lots better nearer to the bars etc.

The absolute worst stay at a hotel i have ever had.... And i am an experienced traveler and backpacker who is not picky at all. First of all dogs were barking non stop till 3am and it was so loud you could even hear them with earplugs in, Shower head to our room was broken, a towel was in the screen of a window, beds are rock hard and wrapped in plastic, pillows had no cover on them and very un clean, room was by no means clean at all, and the front office closed 2-3hrs early so i wasn't even able to voice my concerns. The only nice part is ok A/C and an alright location. I would recommend almost anywhere else in the world to sleep and would never stay here again, i would prefer to walk the street all night then step into another room here. DO NOT STAY HERE YOU ARE WARNED!!!!!

Had to cancel immediately after arrival. THE WORST HOTEL I'VE SEEN!!! Floors have never been cleaned, fridge is moldy and full of rotten food, no towels, used bedding... DO NOT EVEN TRY TO BOOK THIS HOTEL!

The cbi are stained, room without window, sanitary... Clean appearance, but it is not necessary to look closely ?
The wifi does not work and one has the impression of disturbing the managers...

I would highly recommend that you didn't stay at Somjai Place - in any of their two buildings. Their staff (Tan and Yui) are beyond rude, their organization cheats foreigners out of money, and their facilities are beyond sub par. Their buildings are infested with mold which could detrimental to your health - several of our teachers have had upper repository infections due to the level of exposure. The building also has bed bugs, and refuses to take any level of responsibility for it. My stay was long term (3 months) and it was nothing short of a complete nightmare. I lost my 10,000 baht deposit, even though my move out reasons were more than legitimate. I was threatened by Tan that he would call immigration if my last month's bill wasn't paid. There are many other establishments that charge fairly, and offer far more than what Somjai is offering. Their property is run down, and is not a good place for you or your family. Many other guests houses (such as Good Luck, Sansook, and Ayutthaya Guest House) offer more proximity to where you ultimately want to be, are far more comfortable and hassle free. Underneath my bed was infested with mold, and the lack of sewage maintenance made the rooms smell like garbage disposals (no exaggeration).I was told, along with my colleagues, that our own lack of cleanliness was what caused this level of mold. FYI - the building itself is structurally damaged, and has suffered major flooding in the past making it impossible for them to clear this mold without a full reconstruction. They are simply taking the easy way out, and doing things unprofessionally.

At check in we loitered outside just because they didn't want to charge us with a debit card. Had posnet but they only wanted cash.
Even offered to pay in dollars, but neither wanted to.
The rooms are spacious, with fridge, air conditioning and a TV.
