We stayed here for 3 nights as a famile with three young daughters, and had a wonderful experience.
The hotel is charming and beautifully located right by the river, on a great street. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff are truly excellent — friendly, kind, and always happy to help.
Our room was cleaned daily, and even included a safe, which was a nice touch (even though the area feels very safe). The hotel’s restaurant, set along the river, is a real highlight, with live music almost every evening and a lovely ambiance.
We truly enjoyed our stay and hope we’ll have the chance to come back again

Was passing through and was ready for lunch when this restaurant appeared on the street, so I haven't slept at the hotel. You can sit inside or outside on the terrace which I chose, next to the river. There were some fun details out on the terrace, which decorated it a bit. For lunch there is a limit on how much food you can order, and you can't try everything at the same time, but the food I ordered was tasty. A bit tight with parking, but found a place a little further down the street.

Room was not cleaned and towels and amenities and bottles of water were all together put in a plastic bag in front of the hotelroom.
I complaint and the answer was...you have to tell staff that you want that someone cleaned the room!! I paid b.1000 without breakfast in a room without windows...nice location but no next time for me!

If this boutique hotel was in Europe, you'd be paying top prices. The whole area is 300 years old with many of the old shops being converted into hotels, cafes and restaurants. The hotel has been converted beautifully, yes some of the rooms are small, yes some have no windows. But if you stay here, appreciate the history of the hotel and area. I thought the restaurant was fantastic, great thai menu with delicious food at reasonable prices, right on the river. Live music every night from 7pm. Enjoyed the stay, well worth the 5* review. I also booked the wrong dates, which where non refundable, the hotel staff helped me, with no additional cost, thank you....

Very clean and friendly, right in the heart of old town. Restaurant and upstairs terrace overlooking the river. Very friendly staff, englush us very limited, but they really do their bedt to accomodate non-thai speaking guests as well. Note: if you like soft beds, you will not be happy. But i think you will overall struggle to find any soft bed in the area. Restaurant is delicious as well!

I was really hoping to like Tamajun because of the previous comments, but I have to say that besides enjoying the great location and the interesting interior, our overall experience at the hotel was not that great. The room doesn't have a window and besides a bed and a fridge there is no furniture, so there isn't really any place at all to put your stuff. One lamp in our room didn't work and the other ones were sadly not bright enough. Our bathroom was also dirty... What we found worst of all was sadly the staff who either ignored us or were just totally not responsive. We loved Chanthaburi but perhaps one finds a better place to stay there.

History and design meet at this riverfront hotel. Each room unique. Menu traditional Thai with light western offerings. Live waterfront music. Staff friendly. Night street bustles with energy, local food, art and culture.
Rooms could use soundproofing for better sleep.
