The breakfast was good with 3 menu options to choose from. The hotel itself is beautiful but a bit old, which is to be expected. The location is excellent, right in the city center, making it easy to get around and close to tourist spots. With the new M81 motorway, travel is even more convenient now. The staff weren't very smiley, but their service was otherwise fine.

The shower drain was clogged, and the towel basket was covered in dust – absolutely filthy. The reception area was so basic it looked like a makeshift work desk, and the staff were hiding in the storage room. I almost thought the hotel was deserted and I couldn't find anyone. When I checked into my room, it was dark and gloomy, making me feel like I was staying in a ******* house. There were barely any rooms occupied, and the whole hotel felt empty and unsafe; anyone could just walk in. The room's cleanliness was poor, and the facilities were rudimentary. Honestly, only the pool was Instagram-worthy. Trip.com, please stop with the misleading ads claiming this is the top influencer hotel. We were scammed by Trip.com, and our stay was extremely uncomfortable. We demand a refund from Trip.com.

The price of this hotel is very low. There is only tissue in the bathroom. The hotel does not accept cards, only cash and transfers. There are no facilities other than a pool. The towels are old. We booked a king bed and got a small bed put together. When we slept in the middle, it fell out of the groove. There was almost no comfort.

Monaz River Kwai is a modern hotel with comfortable rooms overlooking the pool. The staff is friendly and the environment is relaxing. Great for a quiet stay in Kanchanaburi.
