Bura Lumpai in Pai

Lovely room, very basic but comfortable, about 7km out of Pai so very quiet and peacefull

Lacking hygene, specially in the bathroom. Also almost all locks were halfly working.
Location however is great, pool looked good, people are friendly.
Not a bad experience, but could use some renewing.

It is easy to go the center. It near convenient store. It is a good place.

Stunning views, but lots of bugs because it's such a natural environment.

The room was spacious with a nice little lake view, a big and comfortable bed, and a public pool too.
The room felt kind of old and there were some bugs and lizards at nights but that's a pretty common thing in Pai so I wouldn't complain.
One thing I would complain though is the location, even with a motorbike it takes a pretty long ride to get to the downtown, nearest 7-11 was also a 10 minute ride away. The hotel offered 3 shuttles to the walking street everyday so that helped me the first day when I got in.
One funny thing was that every time when you return to your room with a motorbike at night, the owner's dogs will come and greet you which was really heartwarming, sometimes they would even stay with you at the front of your door but they won't get inside your room so don't worry. They would be really happy too if you feed them 🥰

I don't get the fuss about the old rooms/ bugs/ the location .
I stayed a whole week without a car or a loud polluted scooter, and it was perfectly fine . They got three shuttles back and forth to town .
they are growing crops & and you're in the middle of farm lands, so in the nature of things, there are insects.
The rooms are old but everything works perfectly & if you need something just ask and they will get it for you.
In the west, we plan our life , so you can plan your next meal beforehand as the kitchen closes around 4:30 . Smoothies stay a bit late .
Very well kept pool , open night and day . Peaceful even if neighbors a bit in a party mode .

It's about 10 minutes away from the city center, but I liked the quiet and cozy feeling. I don't think people who rent a motorbike will have any problems. The bed was also wide and nice.

its a bit far from Pai, around 10-15 mins by motorbike but its good value for the price you pay. the area is chill, they have a lake and the room is clean.

Hotel is the first when you come from Chiang Mai on the Mae hong son route.

Village cottage setting with private parking (everyone just park outside their houses/rooms). Room is a bit dated but I don't expect a renovation every 3 years.

However do avoid rooms that are side by side (blue ones) as there is virtually no soundproofing. Westerners drinking and puking on one side and overzealous Thai aunties on the other makes early sleeping near impossible.
