My friend and I stayed one night. Excellent location for exploring the market and a 20 minute walk to the marina. We had such a warm welcome from Shallah when we arrived and she was very patient with our limited French. The rooms are clean, cosy and beautiful. Showers were hot and powerful! There is a lounge with board games and books. Breakfast was fresh and included crepes, chopped fruit and yoghurt. Please note much like many places in Tunisia it was cash only but there are ATMs a short walk away. We would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Houmt Souk.

We had such a wonderful stay here. The team (including Sushi the cat) are so welcoming and kind. It is also the warmest hotel we have stayed in with central heating in the rooms and exceptionally comfortable beds. Breakfast was superb (including fresh fruit) and we organised a great half day tour via the hotel. Highly recommend Dar Lola and hope to rerun.

Stayed here solo and it was amazing, nice room that had everything I could ask for with a large bed. Samia the host was amazing and super kind, arranged a day tour for me my first day since I arrived late and had some food I could eat in the morning. I speak German and English of which she spoke neither but it worked out. The breakfast is also more than satisfactory and rooftop is nice too. Would recommend

An unforgettable experience in a magnificent hotel. The staff is extremely welcoming and kind. A big thank you for waiting for me until 2 a.m. when my rental transport from Sousse was very delayed. The room is magnificent, with wonderful Tunisian decorations with cultural paintings. The air conditioning is very pleasant, and we slept very well. The breakfast is beautifully decorated and delicious. The hotel is extremely well located, a few meters from the Marina, restaurants, the souk, taxis...

Very nice guesthouse. And very nice welcome, a jovial, warm staff, I loved it. Beautiful rooms, each one has its own color. We had the yellow room, there is a pink room, a blue room, and other rooms still. Very charming house. I add that we were also welcomed by the head of the house, Sushi, a cat who kept us good company

Arrived to find that the booked room (double) was not available, though it was offered the following day, and also impolite unreasonable pressure put on me to vacate my room well before the contracted check out time because "someone else wants the room". Basic accommodation. Premium bedding??? Okay for a short stay, but expensive for what it is and I found better value elsewhere.

Our stay at Dar Lola was quick, but it was just so nice. Small… quaint… comfortable… with great bathrooms… and an incredible host!!! Rooftop and the cats were more highlights! We unfortunately didn’t get to try breakfast, but can only assume it was great. Excellent location as well!

A modest, unpretentious hostel. The bed was comfortable and the room had air conditioning. The breakfast was simple. The women who run it were very friendly. Since it was summer, we found a few small cockroaches in the bathroom.
