Apollon Hotel in Patara

We stayed here 2 nights during our Lykia Yolu hike. The room was small but very clean. The furniture in the whole house might look a tiny bit dated. However, the family who runs the hotel is super friendly and we felt very safe there.

The breakfast was simple but every ingredient was super fresh and tasty. I especially loved the sweet melon and the fresh sigara böreği.

A hint: if you are fit and enjoy walking you can access the beach for free walking up to the majestic sand dunes. In about 30 minutes you can walk there. (Otherwise going through Patara was 15 Euro for foreigners in October 2024. There might be other bus transfer prices if you don’t go through Patara but we didn’t use them.)

We planned to stay overnight because we wanted to visit Patara Beach. It was surprisingly perfect! The hotel was easy to find at the top of the hill in town, super clean, and the breakfast was delicious! The beach wasn't as nice as we expected, and the entrance fee was a steal, 15 euros, the same as the Ancient Theatre of Aspendos, but much more expensive in lira. Locals don't even need to buy tickets, so this hotel made up for the disappointment of our trip.

We stayed here for 3 nights in August.
The rooms had plenty of storage space and a nice balcony overlooking the garden. The breakfast was self service and had the best range of herbal teas.
The service was first class and everywhere was so clean they never stop clearing and tidying. The only little niggle was the position of the shower in the bathroom. The walk to the village was less than 5 minutes.

A great place with a family atmosphere. The hosts are very friendly and try very hard to make your stay comfortable. The territory is clean, there is a pool and sunbeds. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. No problem with parking. 10 minutes walk to the center, 10 minutes with car to the Patara beach. Thanks to the hosts for such a warm welcome.

Some notes for travellers:
- clean and quiet hotel with friendly people working there. Room cleaning service every two days
- good breakfasts at convenient times. Eggs (boiled and fried), cheese, fruits, bread / toasts, jam, nutella, juice
- one of the best dinners in Gelemis / Patara area. We tried fish, meatballs and chicken - everything was superb
- Patara beach and Patara dunes are not far from the hotel - roughly 2km. Easily accessible both by cars and on foot
- you will be treated like guests, not like money bags.

We stayed here one night whilst driving around the area and were very tempted to stay longer, but had other places the see. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and just the right temperature for an afternoon dip. It’s location is good and it’s a short walk to a number of restaurants nearby. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone.

My wife and I come here twice a year for a couple of days to visit friends during our Kalkan holidays, this hotel is the ultimate in piece and quiet, every part of the hotel is spotless and it,s the best breakfast you,ll get in Turkey ( no greasy fry-ups ) the family that run the place can't do enough for you, definitely 5 stars from us every time
