The sea was just 25 steps from our room and the pool only 5 – the location was truly perfect. We absolutely loved the lady who looked after us; she was incredibly attentive and helpful with everything. The only downside was that the parking area was limited. We’ll definitely be coming back next year! ❣️

Camilla is a great host with very high standards and is supported by a team of dedicated staff
The hotel is beautifully maintained and very clean. It is fairly small which allows that personal touch.
Although there is no restaurant on site there is a cafe serving snacks all day and this is where the fresh turkish breakfast is served.
For dinner we simply walked along the Bitez ‘strip’ where there is a vast choice of quality restaurants either overlooking the beach or actually on the beach.
You have a choice of a great swimming pool at the Uz Han or sitting on their private beach.
We can highly recommend the Uz Han Hotel in Bitez.
Thank you Camilla !!

Great Beach Hotel located in the lovely city of Bodrum! our room was only 20 meters away from the beach…Hotel is located in a very nice area with lots of restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores…all hotels in Bitez are lined along the beach and connected by a lovely beach boardwalk with a variety of restaurants and some gift shops… it’s a perfect beach getaway for couples and families…Staff are very nice and cooperative…Rooms are very clean…Beach water was amazingly clear and surrounded by mesmerising views of the mountains around.

We booked room 12, a superior room, we needed a ground floor room as my wife is in a wheelchair. We found this room perfect for our stay, it is at the back of the hotel which made it very quiet and secluded enabling us to sit outside and relax in privacy. The hotel was very quiet while we were there, we tended to sit on the beach during the day and come back and cool off at the pool late afternoon, and usually had the pool area to ourselves. Breakfast is at the restaurant at the front of the hotel, overlooking the beach and sea, it’s waiter service, we would have yogurt fruit and toast, but when we arrived we were told if we wanted anything, just ask.
The sun beds on the beach are free and provided and maintained by each restaurant they are in front of. It seems that anyone can use these beds provided they use the services of the restaurant and don’t bring their own refreshments. The restaurant let us have a tab for all our drinks and food throughout the day then I would pay it off at the end of the day with my card. Twice we had our lunch brought to us at our sun beds, there are also tables or benches further back to use. Twice we eat there during the evening and had an excellent meal. We also arranged for the restaurant to provide a packed lunch/salad for us, for our return journey which was excellent.
The hotel has good WiFi, could use it in our room and on the beach with no problem.
The hotel provided beach towels, but not what I would have expected, quite thin, almost like table cloths, but sufficient to put on the sun beds and lie on. But if you like a thick beach towel to dry yourself I suggest bringing your own.
As mentioned on the forum there are stray dogs and it wasn’t unusual to have a couple of large once close while on the beach. We never saw anyone have any problem with these dogs, although due to their size people did tread carefully around them. But they did seem very passive and sometimes the waiter would clap their hands to shoo them away when they got in the way.
The road outside the hotel is presently being renewed making access at present very difficult or impossible. Apparently this should have been completed before the season started but to me looks like they will be a few more weeks to complete. This for us has only been a slight inconvenience in arriving, going and our boat trip, having to be picked up a little further up the road.
We only ventured away from the beach on one day when we did a private hiring of Liz Cakir boat for the day, very relaxing, enjoyable day with a lovely lunch.
There were mossies there and we did get bitten a couple of times when we forgot to spray ourselves, so suggest taking spray and creams, we also took our own plugins for our room which helped.
I found the beach and going into the sea difficult to walk on and wish I had bought my shoes that I wear into the sea, although the majority or people didn’t wear anything on their feet, I did see 2 people having problems, one needing to go to hospital.
I would like to thank all the staff at the hotel and restaurant for their warm and friendly welcome while we were there which made our stay very enjoyable. Health allowing I’m sure we will be back next year.
