4Reasons Hotel + Bistro | 12+ in Yalikavak

Lovely food, lovely view, great for couples that are looking for a relaxing holiday vibe

We were due to stay at a relative’s home, but after the first night, we decided to find a hotel as the air conditioning wasn’t working. When we visited The 4 Reasons, we were shown around by the manager, Tamer, who kindly offered us breakfast. It was such a lovely gesture that we didn’t even want to look at any other hotels — we were happy to confirm our reservation straight away. The hotel was just incredible — so relaxing and tranquil. The staff were exceptional and truly do the hotel proud. Our room (Passionate) was spacious, with gorgeous bathroom products that smelled amazing. The only downside was the lack of drawers — there was only hanging space, so we had to keep our folded clothes out in the open. But this wasn’t a big issue as there was plenty of room overall. Breakfast was lovely — eaten outdoors with a beautiful view each morning, with a choice of fruit, cereal, yoghurt, and eggs. The team also makes fresh fruit smoothies for a small charge, and they’re delicious! The lunch and evening menus were also great. I’m vegetarian, and the staff were happy to make small adaptations for me. The pool area was wonderfully peaceful — we could never quite figure out where everyone went during the day, but we were more than happy to enjoy the calm and quiet! My husband had undergone surgery before our trip and needed to ice his knee. The team couldn’t have been more helpful or empathetic — they kept his ice packs in the restaurant freezer and were always happy to get them for him. Special shout-out to Abdu, whose service was unbeatable — he’s a real star! The rest of the staff were also fantastic, but Abdu really went above and beyond. We had a car, which mostly stayed parked during the day but came in handy for dinners and short trips. We were told that taxis don’t usually wait and can’t be pre-booked, so having a car definitely gave us peace of mind. We ate dinner at the hotel twice, and both meals were excellent. I’ve been coming to Yalıkavak for many years, and it’s changed quite a bit since our last visit seven years ago — much more built up and with a lot more traffic in town. We had booked Limon a month or two in advance — I love it there, especially as a veggie — but it’s really the ambience that makes it special, sitting in the garden watching the sunset. Another great find was Raha, on the seafront in the old town near the car park. I would 100% recommend a stay at The 4 Reasons and would definitely return if we come back to Yalıkavak in the future.

From start to finish it was amazing, it’s a great luxury spot with super attentive staff that will go above and beyond at all times. The pool area and the views are perfect and a short taxi away to all the beach clubs

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, both the view and the rooms. Staff are extremely welcoming and provide great service all the time. The rooms are spacious and clean, beds are comfortable. The amenities are perfect and you have everything you could ask for. Restaurant has a great menu and delicious food. I would absolutely recommend this place for both short term and log term stays, whether with family, friends or solo travelling.

A haven of serenity on Bodrum peninsula
We loved the relaxed and friendly atmosphere at the 4 Reasons. There was plenty of space and beds around the pool and it all felt very tranquil with stunning views of Yalikavak below. Staff around the bar are attentive and friendly.
We enjoyed games of pool in the evening.
It's about a 20 min walk down to the beach, we took taxis back which were fairly cheap.
The hotel also gave advice on other places to eat - recomend a dinner in Gumusluk. And if you go to the old mariner there's a cooperative of boat owners and can arrange gullet trips, either private or part of a small group.
We stayed in a 2-bedroom room which had plenty of space for us and teenage daughter with seaview balcony.

This is the most perfect small hotel- it was so comfortable and the views were wonderful! Everything about the hotel was just exquisite- the gardens, the pool, the food (wonderful breakfasts) and the view. My daughter and I participated in the yoga which was excellent. Nothing to fault!

For us, Turkey has long been associated with the hustle and bustle of big all-inclusive hotels. The 4 reasons hotel has completely changed this attitude. This is a beautifully positioned boutique hotel in a residential area overlooking Yalikavak bay, about 30 mins with the cab from Bodrum, and 50 mins from the airport. The old marina of Yalikavak is a 25mins walk away, with some nice shops and restaurants. There is a massive new marina and top end shopping mall further down the road, but we found that rather soulless. Hopefully the wealthy marina crowd won't take over the old town. The beaches in Yalikavak aren't great. The beach clubs are ok but the better ones are very expensive (Magi Beach is the closest). So if you are a beach lover, the hotel may not be the best option. Exploring the Bodrum Peninsula and its many small bays is easy by rental car; and cabs are quickly arranged by the hotel. The gardens and pool area are wonderful, and rooms are spacious and beautifully designed. We had a Junior Suite with a nice balcony overlooking the pool and the bay. Casual rooms are smaller, most of them have a shared terrace and lacked privacy - but they offer great value for money. We loved the Passionate rooms on the second floor, with a king size bed, fireplace, huge balcony and very tasteful decor. The on-site Bistro is superb offering a fantastic menu, Turkish wines and a range of cocktails. Breakfasts were first served to the table, but due to the booking situation then changed to buffet style (some more variety would have been nice, especially for longer stays). But - the biggest reason we would go back was the service, which was exceptional. Esra, Ali and their team couldn’t be more accommodating. Baran, Abdu and Tamer were great. The guest experience is at the heart of everything they do and you feel incredibly well looked after. One word of caution: Try to avoid the Turkish public holidays. We stayed there during Bayram and a few nights were rather noisy, with guests coming back from town late at night, slamming doors etc. It came a bit as a surprise, as in general the hotel is very peaceful and quiet. All in all, the 4 reasons is a real gem - it oozes style and charm, has a lovely laid back vibe, and offers great food and service, a wonderful pool and immaculately kept grounds. Highly recommended.

This hotel is hard to fault! We had a Passionata room which was spacious, beautifully designed with a large balcony and great views. The pool area was spotless and we enjoyed playing Bocca (boules) on their specially made court in the garden. Breakfasts were served to the table with pastries, croissants, lovely bread, cheese, olives , tomatoes etc with great omelettes made to order. Dinner in the evening was amazing with a good selection of choices, wines and really high quality. As were the cocktails - a selection of traditional and custom 4reasons selections - all superb. We ate at the hotel a few nights , but also went into Yalikavak , to Gümüşlük ‘s fish restaurants and once into Bodrum (bit more touristy). We enjoyed most the older part of Yalikavak , which although relatively small had a good selection of places.(There is a massive new marina and top end shopping mall but we found that a little soulless). Went twice to Mynos restaurant for the food views and sunset. But - the biggest reason I would go back here was the service, which was absolutely exceptional ! Baran and Abdu were so friendly and professional and provided service better than I have seen in any 5 star hotel. Thank you both
