LİMON Otel FOÇA in Foca

My wife and I booked a standard double room for four nights through booking.com. We messaged the hotel that our arrival was delayed by a day, and they confirmed that that was acceptable. Upon our arrival, the gentleman manager(?), seemed upset that we arrived a day late. Perhaps this was a language barrier issue, but it made for a tense first interaction upon our arrival. When we entered the room, we were quite disappointed with our experience. While it matched the pictures shown on booking, everything seemed to be in disrepair or crumbling. There was a very strong aroma of cigarettes and mold. The ceiling of the bathroom had a large black mold infestation. My wife and I quickly got on booking again and found another accommodation just down the street that was wonderful. The manager(?) messaged us that if we were not going to stay in the room, we must return the key. I did so within the hour and took a video of the room. We did not ask for a refund, as it was my mistake for booking Limon Otel Foça in the first place. I encourage others to seriously consider better options in the area.
