Reviews
They have their own private entrance to the sea — it’s super beautiful. Just a heads-up, it’s open from 8 AM to 7 PM; I only wish it opened a bit earlier, maybe around 7 AM.
The overall vibe of the hotel is really nice — the staff are super humble and sweet, and the breakfast is definitely worth trying.
One thing that could be improved:
The boat excursion we booked from the hotel had around 200 people on board, which felt like a lot. A smaller group of around 20–30 people would’ve made the experience so much better. I noticed some other boats doing that — maybe the hotel could consider collaborating with those operators for a more personal experience.
Unfortunately, already on the first day I realized that this hotel would be a big disappointment.
On the second day, a hotel employee came to us and asked all three of us to give them a 5-star review on Google. That was very unprofessional, and seeing all the other overly positive reviews, I honestly don’t believe they’re genuine.
I would personally rate this hotel 3 to 4 stars; it definitely doesn’t meet the standards of a 5-star hotel.
Staff: Most employees speak very poor English, which sometimes made communication difficult. Many of them seemed annoyed or uninterested and made it quite obvious.
Cleanliness: At first glance, the hotel looks clean, but that’s not entirely true. In many places you can see that it’s not well-maintained and lacks attention to detail. As for the room, I wasn’t convinced that it was properly cleaned.
Room: We paid extra for a sea-view room, and I’m really glad we did, because most standard rooms have balconies facing the corridors where people walk by, meaning there’s no privacy. The price difference wasn’t big, so I didn’t mind, but if I hadn’t paid extra, I would have been disappointed. The minibar was completely empty, and the hot water didn’t run properly — we weren’t the only ones with this issue. After about five minutes of waiting, it eventually got warm, but the waiting was quite annoying.
Plus the room had a huge stain on side of the bed. How can something like this even happen in a 5-star hotel??
Service: Room cleaning was done daily, but always halfway — one day they took the bedsheet and didn’t replace it, another day there was no toilet paper, and the next time no bottled water. The cleaning service was always incomplete. Speaking of water, the hotel only provides tiny 0.25L bottles, so you constantly have to ask for more. In other hotels, I was used to getting large 2-liter bottles of drinking water.
À la carte restaurant: The hotel offers one free dinner per week in their à la carte restaurant. If I had paid for it, it would’ve been the biggest disappointment of the whole stay. The dinner was poorly organized, the waiters looked annoyed, and they didn’t clear the plates properly. When we finished our main course, the plates from the first appetizer were still on the table. They barely came to check on us, and I had to wait a long time before they refilled my glass. I expected a dessert, but we never got one, so we ended up going to the all-inclusive dinner afterwards just to get dessert there. We felt ignored by the staff.
Bars: I was disappointed that no bar had a proper cocktail menu. Once, I asked for a non-alcoholic cocktail and explained that I wanted something like a mojito but without alcohol. They gave me a glass of pineapple juice with ice - they made like zero effort. Most od the stuff looked completely annoyed, as if I was bothering them by ordering something. Also, I don’t understand why the beach bar doesn’t serve alcoholic cocktails — you have to walk all the way to the pool bar to get one.
I honestly don’t understand how this hotel has 5 stars. This is NOT what a 5-star hotel should look like — it’s a maximum of 3 stars. I will definitely not return.
The area of Turkey, especially Yalikavak and Bodrum, was beautiful and definitely worth visiting — unlike this hotel.
I think the owners of this hotel are complete ignorants who don’t care about their guests at all — only about saving money and making as much profit as possible with the least amount of effort.
The biggest issue was cleanliness. Despite asking multiple times, our room was never cleaned during our stay. Towels were not replaced, trash was not removed, and the bathroom became completely unhygienic. When we tried to explain, the staff just nodded but did nothing.
For a hotel that charges these rates, I expected at least basic service and cleanliness. Unfortunately, this was far from acceptable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, or even basic communication.
We will definitely come back next year.

I can go on but best not to book this hotel.
The hotel is amazing, has sand beach and also another platform that allows you to go in the sea via stairs. Either two options are amazing. Sea is crystal clear and you are swimming with the fish!! This was a fantastic experience for us.
It is a mixture of family and friends hotel, so we were pretty happy about the hotel’s atmosphere as two lady travelers.
The food was absolutely fantastic, and there were many options that you cannot pick. Getting some weight is guaranteed even if you swim the entire day! I must say that the desserts were wonderful and options were incredible!! The omelettes, kısır, orman kebabı were my favorite ones and strongly recommended. The restaurant personnel were very kind and helpful, we had a great service.
There were soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, which met my expectations. The only drawback was the employees don’t really know how to make cocktails or their names, so everytime you get different cocktail even if you ask the same-which was not a problem for me. Especially the beach bar should be improved in this manner. There is small bottled (250ml) water generously provided, which is a lot better than tap-water or the ones you got it from the machine with the plastic cups which is usually served in such places.
The spa was wonderful! Sauna, vapor bath and Turkish hamam was very clean and the employees were super kind and helpful! We got a massage and started the vacation above the clouds, thanks to Indonesian/Balinese masseuses Juliana and Ari! They were amazing!
In the front desk, Ataberk was super helpful and kind, and the other front desk people have a lot to learn from his kindness and helpful nature.
The only bad experience was the check in time, which was supposed to be at 2 but we could only got into the room at 3pm. However, they gave us a superior room with fantastic sea view even though we booked a standard economy room.
The view, amenities, service were all fantastic! Not to mention how affordable the price you can have it all in.
Overall, I had an excellent restful and happy vacation and did truly not understand why there are 1/5 rates for this place. It is very hard to understand what people’s expectations were. When I saw there are many 5/5 rates and 1/5’s I thought some people had some issues and got upset and gave very bad rates due to their one particular experience and gave this hotel a chance and I believe I was right. I wouldn’t hesitate to go this place because of the bad comments made by (possibly spoiled) people.
The room was just okay I’d say and the corridors that led to our room was specified for some of their offices and always smelled like rotten cigarettes from the office rooms.
Inside the room there was only a small fridge with two small water bottles. There were no kettles, no glasses, no tea or coffee and nothing else at all. The food in general was just about average as it didn’t have a great variety and the quality of food was normal, you could tell they didn’t pay for a good chef and good quality ingredients in general. We stayed in this hotel for 7 days and I noticed the toaster machine was broken the first day and it remained broken and not working for our entire stay. It’s got some activities for children which is making it a great place for families with small children but there were not too many night activities for adults. The only thing they had was music playing from a young guy’s laptop at nights and the bar. The bar was very limited and you couldn’t find all sorts of drinks there which is not expected from Marriott hotels compared to other UALL hotels in that area. The location, the sea side, and the beach was very beautiful and they also had some paid water sports on the side. There’s a small bar near the beach which has limited drinks but is still not so bad. There is food and snack from 12:30 to 17:00 at the beach which was above normal in quality.
The place was clean for the most part and the environment was beautifully decorated with plants. I have been to many Marriott hotels around the world and I’d say this was definitely the lowest quality of them all. Overall, it can be a good place if you are going with small children, but there are certainly many other better hotels in Yalıkavak as of my own personal experience.
