Beautiful location and premises but disturbingly poor covid protection measures 😔

I had high hopes with this resort as I had stayed in Belek Voyage and was very pleased with every aspect of it. Yet, this establishment was such a disappointment I don't know where to start. I can easily say that it was an expensive vacation and unfortunately it was not worth the money we paid. 1- General resort remarks: First, the resort itself was very old and neglected. Someone told us that they were planning to tear down the place to build a new resort, but this shouldn't be the reason why paying customers must suffer through the old rooms with water leakage, non-working moldy air conditioning in the rooms, faulty shuttles etc. Also, in this technology age, I have never seen a hotel without Wi-Fi in the rooms. You need to be in the main building in order to get Wi-Fi connection instead of the comfort of your room: very annoying. Aqua park area was not operational between 12-2 pm, this seemed very odd. The personnel in the swimming pool area was very rude, they served us drinks as if they were doing us favor. The guy behind the swimming pool bar was smoking. 2- Service remarks: The service was very lousy. We had an open wine bottle in our mini fridge. The rooms were not cleaned properly. One day we asked for a cold diet coke to our room instead they brought a warm regular coke. My husband had to open the mini fridge and show the guy how a cold drink should feel like. Eventually the guy admitted that they get all asked items from a storage room within the same building for easy service which has no refrigerator. We asked for an extra chair into our room, they said no. We asked that they bring wine into our room to be away from the noise in the bar area (the night shows are performed in the small bar area as they don’t have an amphitheater) they said no. We asked for extra blanket, we never got one on the day we asked. We got an extra blanket the next day, but it was gone the following day: very frustrating. 3- Food/restaurant remarks: On July 24, my husband got boiled eggs from the breakfast buffet, it was spoiled, went for a second one which was soiled too. He notified the waiters and got the eggs taken off from the buffet. On July 26, I got grilled fish from the dinner buffet and it was spoiled and smelled very foul. I told the waiter who said it smelled like fish. Really? The food in general was not great. Our friend’s daughter got sick with food poisoning and had to see a doctor nearby who recommended that we do not put ice in our drinks to prevent getting bacteria. He said that our friend’s daughter was not his first patient from that resort. The a/c in the restaurant area was turned off unless you ask the personnel to turn it on. My overall experience with this resort was so frustrating, I feel bad every time I think about it. We threw our money down the drain.
