Dolina Hotel in Cesme

+ The best beach of the entire region is within a 2 min walk of the hotel Not much of diversity for vegans but other than that all the meals were good quality Nice and clean room, everything was good apart from room cleaning occurring like once in 5 days

We were a little nervous booking here because of these negative reviews but I could not have loved our stay more.

First of all, the hotel itself is simply gorgeous with lovely outdoor area covered in bougainvillea with an ocean view and constant breeze. It was calm and relaxing on the days my partner got sunburnt and couldn't go to the beach, which is mere walking distance from the hotel.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Never too hot. They don't clean your room every day but I personally prefer this. It's not necessary and less wasteful, in my opinion.

Breakfast was available with a different in hot option every day. And the standard veggies, fruits and cheeses served in Turkey. My only complaint was coffee wasn't that great. We never ate at the hotel for other meal. Prices did seem a bit high but that is to be expected at hotel restaurants. Alataçi prices all over were double Istanbul.

Staff was polite and friendly even with our limited Turkish and their limited English. The owner, is an older, quiet gentleman but if you can strike up a conversation with him, you'll find he is a man with a lifetime of experiences, extremely intelligent and a great conversationalist. He was very kind to recommend us restaurants in Çesme and Alataçi center that were delicious and budget friendly. Also gave my partner clippings of aloe from his garden for his sunburn.

I cannot recommend this place enough and we hope to return very soon!

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 20 days, from the beginning of June 2021. When the UK government through Turkey into it's so called Red list. We had a fabulous time. Our host ( the captain ) was great. The staff are great. Always a smile on there faces. It's stunning, peaceful, and amazing. I would highly recommend this little piece of heaven. Not a great deal of fellow British people. So totally enjoyed our stay. We are without a doubt going back for a month this coming year. Thanks everyone at the hotel. See you soon captain.
