Watermill Villa & Hotel Faralya in Faralya

I finally found the time to pay my dues to this dear hotel 😅
If we leave out the view and the overall atmosphere (which were genuinely nice), this was honestly one of the worst stays of my life.
(I’ve even slept by the sea before and had a better time!)

The price was high, the attitude of the staff was rude and entitled (I’ll get to that), and the tub was broken and never got fixed during our stay.

The description said the room was suitable for four people and mentioned a sofa bed for the other two — but apparently, they don’t know that not every couch counts as a sofa bed.
Forget about how uncomfortable the couch was — if you’re taller than 1.7 meters, you’ll have to sleep in frog position just to fit.
When we mentioned this to the staff, they said, “This is a standard bed.”
(The guy was about 2 meters tall himself — I think only his lower body could have fit on that thing. 😂)

And as you can see, I eventually had to spend a couple of nights sleeping on the poolside loungers.

The kitchen and facilities were actually great, and the view was beautiful.

If for any reason you still decide to give this place a try, just make sure you’ve got really healthy knees and decent physical endurance.
(We stayed here last summer, so hopefully by now — especially with the name and location change — the staff and management have improved.)

This is a glorified guesthouse. Way overpriced for what it is, in particular during summer. Service a bit of a shambles/amateurish, just doesn’t live up to it. Also, the road running below the property used to be a quiet country lane, now with all the construction going on in the area down the line the hotel just doesn’t have the quietness anymore that it used to have.

It was the worst hotel I had ever been to. The hotel falsely advertised having a parking lot, but when I arrived, nobody helped with carrying the luggage. The most ridiculous thing was that the hotel didn't have hot water. When we talked to the staff about it, they said they would check, but it was just a lie because the hotel didn't have hot water at all. It was incredibly ridiculous.

They claimed to have a refrigerator, but it was more like a trash bin. It was extremely dirty, and it didn't even turn on. The rooms didn't have air slippers , and the bathroom lacked towel hangers. The towels were placed on the sink. On top of not having hot water, the shower was also broken.

The breakfast was also terrible. Moreover, the room didn't have a lock, so we had to take our belongings with us whenever we left because we didn't feel secure. It was clear that the hotel didn't care about the guests at all. In terms of hotel amenities, they only had a bed and nothing else.
