Rooms are clean and quiet. Staff are helpful. Breakfast isn't very good; no meat i.e. no sausage. Our room had a strange problem: the shower has that rain type shower head, and it has glass that separates the shower from the rest of the bathroom. However the glass is a bit too low I guess, so when you use the rain shower it sprays water over the top of the glass and gets the rest of the bathroom wet...

Great hotel in Kars. Great breakfast with very well served. Rooms are clean enough and all utilities you need. Big and relaxed. Breakfast is open buffet and lots of selections. You will feel local and international tastes at the same time. Staffs are pretty nice and well helpfull in anything. Definitely worth it !

Much enjoyed our 1 night stay at Kar's hotel. The room was very comfortable with beautiful view of the castle. Everything can be done by foot, going to town, the cheese shops, the restaurants and the castle. The hotel manager was very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was very good

The Grand Ani over achieves. Rooms were everything we had hoped for AND the windows were operable, letting the lovely Spring weather inside. Staff is superior and the restaurant is wonderful. Remarkable breakfast!!!

Lovely hotel with a gorgeous Turkish Hammam and pool in a convenient location. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, with many suggestions on places to explore. Most sites of interest can be accessed within walking distance. I would definitely stay there again.

The owner and staff were incredibly supportive and helpful in arranging my trip from start to finish. The room was spacious, comfortable, and in a perfect location. The room is not big, but clean, everything you need is there, a kettle, a hair dryer, a mini fridge, a TV, although we didn't use it because we don't know the language. At the reception, without knowing the language, we checked in quite quickly and clearly, the staff is polite, they explained everything with gestures. Plus to the place - there is a Zirat Bank nearby, very convenient.

This hotel is easy walking distance to the main shops and transportation to Ani, as well as the Kars Castle and the train station. It also had surprisingly fast wifi, and a nice breakfast spread! The staff doesn't speak much (if any) English, and people were smoking in the main lobby (and rooms), but all in all I enjoyed my stay.

For 1 or 2 nights The hotel overlooks a quiet running track and is very close to the bustling city center. The furnishings are somewhat dated, but everything is spotlessly clean and the beds are equipped with high-quality mattresses.

The hotel is small, beautiful and quite historical. The location is great. The area needs attention and support. Even though it is winter, there is a sewage smell coming from the river.

The building that impressed me the most in terms of Baltic architecture was the Cheltikov Hotel. I visited all the streets in the center and left the hotel for last because it was far from my route. When the rain started, I wanted to have a tea in the restaurant section. After taking a breather, they said they would serve the tea when paying. The staff were very polite.

The hotel is perfectly situated for visiting the Castle and other interesting sights. The staff were wonderful, kind and considerate. The communal sitting area is lovely and I was plied with tea all afternoon. The place is really warm which as a February visitor was important. The breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice. Both my husband and I really enjoyed our stay and we’ll be back for sure.

Arriving in Kars after a grueling drive, Otel İpekyolu was a much-needed respite. The hotel's staff helped us to find a parking in front of hotel. While we didn't have the opportunity to explore other hotels in such a small city, the initial experience was positive and made for a restful start to our stay in Kars.

Got charged 600 per night w/ breakfast (as a foreigner, if that changes anything). Room was good, clean. Beware hot water is not available all day.

Great value Hotel. It has everything you would expect at this level. Ok breakfast, clean towels, good enough bed. It even had a mini desk in my room - so I could work on my laptop. My room was facing the street (noisy - price of being central) and like most hotel rooms in Turkey it smelled of smoke. They were happy to store my bike in the lobby.

We needed to book this room at the last minute and they fortunately had room available. Generally the room was pretty clean but the towels had some stains which is unpleasant.
