Reviews
I cannot understand the 5 star service reviews on this property.
Stayed here with a mate. Reservation under his name.
Sleeping with sewerage smell, broken shower door, no tea/coffee or kettle in the room & pretty much no WIFI, not suitable for international travellers.
Photos used to advertise this accommodation are incorrect.
Broken pier, unkept garden, rubbish around the property.
Didn’t feel safe at all, needed to leave windows open to get rid of the sewerage smell in the room during the night.
No sleep, spent the night staring at the front door wondering will someone be breaking in.
Single bed had a right lean towards the floor, bedding uncomfortable, pillows uncomfortable.
Wouldn’t stay again, would most definitely highly, strongly NOT recommend this place to anyone.
Please do right by yourself & stay at a nicer property in the area, my biggest mistake was booking this property.
Host & staff speak little to no English, made it quite challenging to interact & communicate.
Tried to give us the wrong room till we reminded him that we booked a superior room with 2 beds.
This was quickly corrected.
Although breakfast was included, skipped on this cause couldn’t wait to get out of there quick enough.
On the surface it appears that other reviews on this property may not be entirely correct or family and friends have written positive reviews.
I challenge you to check it out yourself and please if you could review your stay and be extremely honest.
The hotel was not prepared for the quests.
There were so many clutter around... I stayed 2 nights, I had to asked the reception, removal of the parked car front of my sitting area, two days on the row that I paid good rate to enjoy the gardens.
One person saved the day for me Revsan :) He was attentive and helpful.
Reception:
Friendly helpful man with next to no English but communication was achieved via translate app.
Room / facilities:
Room number 112 is on the ground floor and is clean.
We stayed 1 night. - thankfully
Full self control air conditioning with windows that open.
The room has two rooms, a king bed in one and a single bed in the other.
In the single bedroom, there is some hanging space and a small bar fridge (where the cupboard door does not close).
The main king bedroom has is a small TV, where, the remote control did not work due to a flat battery.
There is a bench with a small seat, mirror and bedside tables and a small bathroom with a walk-in shower that has no full enclosure capability, as part of the sliding screen door is missing. The toilet is located behind the door and is terribly tight to maneuver.
There is a terrible sewer stench from the bathroom after a shower and then all night. The only way to avoid this is to plug the drains with towels and close the bathroom door and plug the under door gap also with towels.
The building structure is not square, meaning all things inside are angled.
During our stay, the manager was burning rubbish toward the restaurant area, which made smoke drift into the room all night.
Parking:
Free off street parking is available at the front of the property.
Wifi:
Complementary however as there is no wifi extender signal near the middle set of rooms, the “restaurant wifi” the only signal available. This is minimal to no signal at best from the “restaurant wifi”.
Password is required.
Breakfast:
Available for all guests, and is situated near the main bar area and overlooks the ocean.
We did not stay for this so are unable to comment.
Conclusion:
A hotel with vast missed opportunities. it is relatively quiet, except at prayer time.
Pictures on various booking sites are either doctored or fake, as none of the real items look as they do in the pictures.
I am amazed that on TripAdvisor it says there are 55 reviews however when you try to view all these 55 reviews only one appears which is a positive 5 star review. However the writer is someone who has not even stayed at the hotel. I wonder what happened to the other 54 reviews??
Recommendations:
Just DONT .
Dont be drawn in by the beautiful photos, as these are no longer accurate.
Book elsewhere.
Letdowns:
Distance from Assos town, beach area.
Misleading advertising pictures.
Getting to hotel:
If arriving by car, best use GPS
