Even though it was quite clear we weren’t looking at a true 4-star resort, the pictures and the website gave us somewhat good expectations, despite the bad reviews online. Needless to say, it was quite a first impression we got the morning we arrived. We aren’t fussy tourists and we are in fact very open to all kinds of situations, and grated we had never travelled to Turkey on an all-inclusive package, I was astounded at the amount of Russian tourists at the hotel - which made me realize the moment we arrived that we had definately booked a hotel that catered only to them.
The staff was beyond rude and indifferent, not only did they show zero social skills as people, the service they provided was terrible and honestly uncomprehensible to us. No one spoke English! And granted there were a number of German tourists on location, there was no immediate solution to communicating our needs.
As the first day progressed, we found ourselves struggling to understand and communicate - that isn’t an issue as we were aware of the foreign language - the issue was the lack of empathy on the other end, coming from staff employees who were not interesting in BEING STAFF EMPLOYEES.
With that said - which I believe is a huge HUGE reason to not recommend to others - I must say the hotel is clean and well-kept, the rooms are cleaned daily by friendly local ladies, and the pool area is also clean.
There is a large eating hall, which provides with LOTS of food daily - all-inclusive is definately worth the while, there are full breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, and snacks served at the beach bar, and a coffee break with cakes and cookies. The food has a huge variety and the restaurant and waiting staff is clean and efficient.
The beach...pebbles, pebbles, and stones and rocks. There is a small strip of sand, DO NOT FORGET YOUR BEACH SHOES, it becomes extremely hard to avoid pain, and the entire access to the water is full of pebbles.
To end this rather neutral review, I have to say that ONCE UPON A TIME this hotel seemed to have a lovely time, the picture online are most definately not recent nor do they represent the actual ambience of the place. A majority of Russian tourists along with Turkish “updates” on the spa and a couple of less-than-flattering market stands and selling points along the otherwise beautiful corridor of Bouganvilles are kind of an eye sore which are clearly not shown in the pictures.
