Safa Royal Museum Hotel in Konya

BED BUGS in the room and smells smoke. When we asked for non smoking room, we were told everybody smoke and we don’t have non smoking room. When we left the hotel, my skin started itching and getting swollen red dots. I will NOT recommend staying in Baykara hotel in Konya unless the issues are solved and they put new mattresses, beds, and towels there. We both have a lot of red spot in our bodies and are very irritated.

the rooms are worn out, in our room there was a broken mirror that could hurt someone. the breakfast was lousy, the cheese smelled bad, possibly expired. the price was also expensive, you don't get what you pay for. for the same price there are much better hotels in the same area.

The place is good and cheap which are I guess the top two things any traveler requires. The location is especially attractive as it is very central and walking distance to almost every monument. However, the bathrooms leave a lot to be desired, if you are used to comfort don't opt for this hotel. The sheets were stained, the cupboard creaked all night, the plumbing was extremely loud and the thin walls also let in the noise from every neighbouring room, the packed slippers seem to be used. Only book if you plan on not showering and spending most of your time outdoors. The room also got awfully cold at night, without having an AC or central heating with a remote control that I could control.
