Don't go expecting a premium 5-star experience: It's not a bad hotel, but it's definitely starting to show it's age. The bathroom area needs improvement, it has a very small tub and little space for showering due to its layout. Food on the buffet is okay, nothing special. The only truly excelent aspect was the service. The grand piano on the lobby is a nice plus for those of us who like to play a little while traveling.

The hotel room is great. We have a clean space. The dinner dish is normal, nothing special. Banu is a kindly and friendly waitress leader. We got a lot of useful suggestions.

We stayed at Grand Hotel Konya and the rooms were not too bad. We checked in and we decided to go to the pools for a swim. Arrived at the pools with my family and we got stopped entry saying we need to buy swimming caps. I was about to buy for all 4 of us until my mother asked them if there was any clothing requirement as well. We got told that everyone needs to be in shorts to access the pools. We have just come back from Umrah and visited Türkiye because it’s a Muslim country but I was surprised to hear that they wanted our ladies to be in shorts to access the swimming pool. I think this is just ridiculous. A Muslim country should have respected the Islamic values more than anyone else but it was opposite here. Very disappointed with that. Another major setback was that lot of their waitresses and waiters in the dinning hall didn’t understand English which created lot of frustration as well.

The only tall building nearby 😂 The room was nice, and the breakfast was good too (highly recommend booking a room with breakfast included).

The staff were all very friendly, although not all of them spoke English. We arrived at the hotel at just after 9:00 AM, and they still managed to check us in (normally check-in is at 12:00 PM).

It's very close to the tram, so you can take the tram to explore the city. There's a shopping center about a 10-minute walk from the hotel, with all kinds of food and drinks, as well as a supermarket.

If you need to take a taxi, just tell the front desk, and they can quickly call one for you.

My recent stay at the hotel was decent overall. while the rooms and lobby are showing their age and could use some modernization.

The view from my room was nice (the area near the hotel is a bit barren) but looking just a bit further and you have a beautiful view of the city.

The absolute highlight was the staff. They were amazing, friendly and helpful which made the stay pleasant.

All in all, it's a decent hotel offering good value but as mentioned before a renovation to refresh the Interior to modern standards would evelate the hotel significantly

A room service person used her general room key to open my door without knocking on the door. When I complained to the "Boss" of the hotel with the tour group guide, the boss's attitude was very rude. He even argued that I was affecting their operations. The room service lady even wears a name tag band from a Taiwanese Travel Agency "Cola Tour". The shower room does NOT have a door to prevent shower water from splashing to the rest room. The iron board is rusty as indicated in the photos below. I really doubt how this hotel obtained its 5-star qualification. Should you want to make reservations with this hotel, please note that you could be taking some serious risks.

Nice hotel! Room was clean and spacious. The check in was smooth and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was a good spread with plenty of local bites. Location was near a shopping forum which was convenient for food and buys. Overall a pleasant stay and well recommended!
