Le Grand Hotel in Zhytomyr

My husband and I checked into a room that at first glance was not bad, but... only at first glance.
- third floor, no elevator
- Slippers, shower gel, shampoo - none!
- noise insulation - 0. You can hear everything, on New Year's Eve some company returned at 4 am, they were noisy and noisy, knocking on the door.
- the room is cold, there is air conditioning, but there is no remote control for it. It's good that there is a phone and the ability to connect via the remote control.
- no hot water, on the first day we checked in, it was warm at first, and then it was cold all the time. Just awful!
- the bed is very uncomfortable, the springs were pressed all the time. The blanket was small, not the right size, the pillowcases had holes.
Breakfast is included in the price, but we didn't go, and judging by the reviews we didn't lose anything.

With + friendly staff, there is a washing and drying function (400 UAH - for two washes). That's where the + ends.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place for one night, maybe for longer!!!
Especially for families with children.

We stayed here for the night by mistake - I mixed it up with a hotel where I used to stay, and which we liked. The mistake turned out to be unpleasant - probably one of the worst hotel experiences.

- Horrible lighting
- The smell of some cheap disinfectant in the room
- It seems that the renovation and decoration were done with feet
- The water in the shower is barely warm
- Slippers, a bathrobe, a locker, a refrigerator - forget it - there are none
- There is nowhere to hang even things in the bathroom - I had to put them on a closed toilet
- For some reason there are two chairs, and both are broken, so I almost fell off them 🥴
- The room was stupidly cold - when it's October, you expect the accommodation to be at least warm. I had to go to the reception, because the air conditioner remote control is one for the entire building. 🥴 They said you could leave it in the room, but "without fanaticism".
- Soundproofing 0% - around midnight, some drunken screams and noise from the room above or to the side started like a cherry on the cake 🤷🏽‍♂️, to consolidate, so to speak, the overall impression.
- We traveled with a dog, so they charged +200 UAH, although my dog ​​is cleaner than that room. The total cost came out to 1200 UAH per night (we had an improved one as it turned out - I'm afraid to imagine what happens in a regular one). Even such a level cannot be justified by the budget of the hotel. Perhaps, for 500 UAH, something like this could still be sold, but it's still kind of a shame.
- We decided not to experiment with the breakfast that is included in the price and went for it 🌚 as we later saw in the comments, it was a very good decision.

- The bed is normal. The bed linen is clean. The room is relatively clean. The staff is polite and does their job as well as they can.

Of course, it's my own fault that I booked a hotel on Booking that accepts pets, and didn't look at the comments, ratings, and the budget segment, and I was also sure that this was the hotel where we had stayed before. But the point is not even in the budget, but in the general negligence of the management of the property. Everything is done in a haphazard manner. And most importantly, for some reason they hung a TV there, like someone would watch it there or something... it would be better if they fixed the chairs and at least laid some kind of carpet for the same money.

Of course, we thank you for the roof over our heads and the bed, but we will never set foot here again 👎

The hotel canceled my reservation with an evening check-in. They said they had some problems and they booked me a room in a neighboring hotel. Which I had to contact myself. Where I heard that no one booked anything and just asked about the availability of rooms.
Absolutely not a customer-oriented hotel, in which the administrator on the phone says that he is very busy and cannot talk normally and resolve the situation.
I was forced to quickly look for a hotel. I do not recommend!

The most terrible hotel I've ever been to. There are no slippers in the room, no hot water. Yesterday we barely checked in, they were busy with a wedding on the 1st floor. Carrying things in your hands to the 3rd floor, someone was constantly making noise. We felt like wedding guests because of the screaming of the guests. Customer service is 0, breakfast is just fried eggs, tea that you brew yourself 🙂 and it's included in the room price. Honestly, the most terrible place I've ever been to. I don't recommend it at all!
