Reviews
Hotel staff informed us that the fire alarm went off because we were showering in the shower stall; there was a little water in the shower. They then told us we might need to leave because our exposed shower area triggered the building's fire alarm! The alarm would sound every half hour afterward, so we had to stop showering and wait until the next morning to use the bathroom in another room! Hotel management also mentioned it might be a problem with the building's age, and they would send someone to check it the next day, but an hour had passed and the alarm hadn't sounded at all!
A slight leak during showering caused water seepage in the second-floor room. When I went downstairs, I saw the alarm was dripping, which triggered the entire building's alarm system. However, I believe we were only showering, and there was another person showering while two others were still showering. We were only showering, not taking a bath, and there wasn't a large water leak that flooded the entire bathroom! The claim that a leak caused the second-floor alarm is a gross exaggeration.
I believe the main cause was drainage issues in the shower stall. Due to old pipes, water was leaking, causing water to leak to the second-floor room below. This leak triggered the alarm in the guest's room, causing panic and fear among all the guests in the building.
I believe the building's plumbing has been in disrepair for years. When we showered on the third floor, the hot water drainage system leaked, triggering the alarm. If there are any subsequent problems with the hotel, we are alone in the UK, and we cannot accept any explanation that a slight leak in the shower stall affected the entire incident!
Because of last night's incident, my whole family couldn't sleep at night, we were terrified, and the hotel hasn't done anything about it yet! I want a definite answer. This morning we didn't dare touch anything in the bathroom, it has caused us a lot of inconvenience, we can't take a shower, brush our teeth, wash up, and we're even worried about going to the toilet!
Afterwards, the staff member said she had gone off work and she did not meet the staff member again until she left the hotel the next afternoon. Fortunately, our family fell asleep as soon as we got to the room, and went out for breakfast and sightseeing early the next morning, so we did not disturb the store owner.
It takes 30 minutes to walk to Oxford town, which is acceptable and pleasant.

Good for those who like Balti style.
Only saving grace was that the staff were very good.
