Our experience with Renz was amazing! We went to the lounge every morning and he knew my husband likes strawberries- even though not out one morning, he brought him a small bowl. He is friendly and so very helpful- looked forward to see him every morning.

Desi in the concierge lounge was so sweet and hospitable, very friends. We spoke about our backgrounds. She’s from one of the most gorgeous places on earth, (just like her, inside and out) Indonesia. (Bali of all places). I wanted to tip her, but she mentioned that they no longer put the tip jar out because of a complaint. I cannot believe that anyone would complain about a tip jar (how rude and selfish) when they are receiving complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and desserts, where there’s no limit to the amount that you can serve yourself. The audacity?!! I definitely like to tip in the concierge, lunges, especially even more so because it’s complementary and it would cost a pretty penny in the restaurant. The views here are spectacular as well. Desi deserves a raise! She’s just darling!

Room choice was flexible, staff was courteous and proactive, very comfortable and family friendly, I enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay again.

I stayed at this location for four nights and was really pleased with the beautiful sunset views from the 20th floor. The hotel was quiet, the front desk staff (Cherry in particular) shared suggestions about the area and places to visit. The gentleman in the elite lounge, Renz, told me he has worked for the property for 21 years and was so warm and positive, too. Breakfast vouchers were provided for the weekend mornings, and the restaurant servers were lovely and friendly. There were times that I felt uneasy walking alone in the downtown area, and was glad that bell staff greeted arrivals at the front doors. Location was central and I would stay there again for sure! Thank you team Marriott!

Good centralized location, rooms were clean, close walking to a lot of restaurants and shopping. Kids liked the pool, but that room could use a little sound deadening material in there. The echo is a lot if there are a handful of kids in there. Renz in the lounge was very hospitable.

I had a truly wonderful experience at the Anchorage Marriott Downtown, and what stood out most was the exceptional quality of the staff, something that truly makes all the difference in a hotel stay. From the moment I checked in, Matthew at the front desk set the tone. He was efficient and professional, yet incredibly warm and personable. He took the time to ask about my flight and made sure every detail of my stay was taken care of. Thanks to him, I was placed in a beautiful room with stunning views of the water and mountains, an unforgettable welcome to Anchorage. (Fingers crossed I’ll catch the northern lights too!) A special thank you as well to Renz in the concierge lounge, who went above and beyond in every sense. His level of attentiveness and genuine care is unlike anything I’ve experienced before. He checks in with every guest, anticipates needs before they’re even spoken, and does it all with kindness and grace. He is constantly moving, ensuring the lounge is comfortable, well-stocked, and welcoming for everyone. His work ethic and dedication truly elevate the entire experience. It’s easy to have a nice property, but it’s the people who bring it to life. Matthew and Renz are shining examples of hospitality done right. Because of them, my stay wasn’t just comfortable; it was memorable. I would absolutely stay here again.

Shruti was excellent. Got everything right and was very attentive and kind. All items were very good. Hot, delicious food and a smiling server was a welcome treat while traveling.
