Absolutely the best bang for a buck in Anchorage. Nice rooms and a very cool bar & music lounge. I definitely recommend!

My family and I checked in on 9/16/2017 and it was pretty busy, but the young lady that checked us in she was absolute wonderful. Her name was Violet, she had very good customer service, gave me all the information i needed to know about Anchorage, Alaska and told me about the amenities that comes with my stay. She also helped me when i couldn't get into my room, she walked with me to make sure i was able to get in so i didn't need to walk all the way back to the front. This is the hotel that us tourist needs to stay at, a place where we feel welcome and safe. A place that doesn't ignore your needs, unfortunately I only here for a night but my family will be coming up next week and i will strongly and personally recommend your hotel. I give you guys all stars. Thank you for the wonderful stay and also thank you to Mrs. Violet for the wonderful customer service you got some wonderful employees.

Place is comfortable, clean and not fancy. Not a bad place to stay. If you are used to regular fancy hotels, stay elsewhere. However if you like a bit more character, but still good, give this place a try. :)

This hotel was wonderful! They took dozens of us in last minute when a flight cancelled, fed us pizza at midnight or so after getting there because we were all starving, and kept some great company as we were there for the next day. If I ever go back to Anchorage, I am going to stay there again. This is a locally-owned hotel and the husband and wife who run it are great people.

Very good hotel. Good location in downtown. Large room and clean room. Bathroom was ok. Staff ok and good free parking

This hotel was terrible. I stayed in room 103, the room had a very bad smell that never went away. The furniture is all well over 20 years old, including the pillows that were so old they were down to the size of throw pillows. If you stacked all 4 you were close to the size of a normal pillow, but without the comfort. Every time I went to sit on the bed it would slide a foot across the room. Housekeeping was also terrible. They would only change the sheets and provide new towels, nothing else was wiped down or cleaned at all. Very dirty next to the bed with piles of hair and grossness. 2 in gap under the main door and door would not latch unless you slammed it. Only plus was a location right down town. Parking was also terrible, had to park nearly a block from my room on several occasions due to the lack of parking. Don't stay here unless you are very desperate.

A pretty good hotel. Older, but has a restaurant and music cafe. They are in the process of updating all the rooms. They have a pool, with no water in it though. The location is very convenient and close to lots of restaurants and shopping downtown.

Location is excellent for downtown exploration. I hiked to the breath taking elderberry park with ease and had a chance to see some of the best views I've ever seen. The bridge that is practically in the parking lot has one of the best views in Anchorage. The hotel itself is a bit dated and an ultimately has lack luster aesthetic compared to a 3 or 4 star property. However, even with some dings and bumps it's overall a clean place. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Check in was a breeze. I have not come across a single employee that hasn't made sure I was having a nice stay. All in all this is an excellent experience for the cost and location.

Housekeepers are very nice and trustworthy. There is a lot of construction going on in the building, but it's going to be better when it's done.

Security here are very rude, I was doing a Dordash delivery and they wouldn't let me go to the customers door, nor would they let me wait for the customer to come down to get it, they told me to tell the customer that i Ieft their order downstairs and that I had to go because I couldn't be there

I saw them working without gloves! Not the grossest part though, the guy cleaned his nose with his hand and then grabbed the stack of pretzels and put them under the heat lamp. Beware eat at own risk! Who knows what else they do. Also they don't accept cash! WTF! They can't accept a 100 more accurately! Obviously there's to many ch temptation to steal by the employees! They do plenty of small cash business,to cash a 100! Regardless they should have cash to break bills because they are a public store! It should be against the law to not accept cash, in any denomination! Who cares I'm not eating booger pretzels anyway!

This place is terrible. I should have know from the lack of costumers that the food would be bad. But I decided to try it anyway. I figured that they had a teppanyaki grill so the food would be fresh. Boy was I wrong! I ordered the teppanyaki combo which came with beef and chicken. Right after I finished paying, the chicken and beef was tossed on the grill. It was pre-cooked! Next came the rice. And it was pre-cooked too. And I'm not talking about steamed rice going on to the grill to made into fried rice. They literally put already cooked fried rice on the grill to heat it up. The only thing that wasn't pre-cooked were the veggies and they barely saw any grill time. So when I got my food I ended up with a nasty mess of who-knows-how old chicken and beef on top of who-knows-how old rice and under-cooked veggies. I literally took 3 bites of my food before I tossed it in the trash. The chicken tasted like leftover chicken that had been re-heated in the microwave, the beef tasted rancid, and the rice was ruined because the idiots put all the sloppy, gross meat on top of it. I didn't even bother with the veggies.

My advise, and this goes for all the places in the 5th Ave. Mall food court, is to eat before you go to the mall. Your taste buds and stomach will thank you.
