Arrived in town with a reservation at another hotel that I never confirmed... Started driving threw town and asking for a room. The Sheridan was our 3rd attempt and they had 1 room left, we were willing to pay most anything and the Sheridan not only offered us their last room, they gave us a discount as the last room backed up to the Opera that had a show that night until 11PM. Great room and when we asked for another hour to stay to noon the next day and take a hike they agreed to that as well. Great coffee, very accomodating staff, specifically Carl/Karl. Thank you and we will be back.

Great hotel with an amazing provenance but very downhill compared to previous years. The staff is great and they have a winning attitude but the details disappoint this year. "Breakfast" is now served from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm (terrible for skiers), a change from previous years. When we asked why we were told they had to lay off a lot of staff because of the tough ski season. Coffee one morning was not available because the hotel had "run out of filters". We were told they would buy some as soon as a local store opened where they could buy more. This seems like an issue management could have anticipated. The owner/manager seemed to always have a scowl on his face.. We were staying at the hotel and also ate two dinners there (one was $750 for the three of us) and he never approached us to engage and speak with us or check in on us despite being always close by. He seemed more concerned with arranging chairs than engaging with his guests. I worked for many years in hospitality in NYC at top restaurants and I know when management is disengaged and the staff has to overcompensate. Service was friendly and warm but lots of kitchen errors (we were served another table's entrees as soon as we sat down one evening, and then one of us received his salad while the rest of us waited for the other appetizers to arrive. They didn't until we called attention to it and then we were served the wrong appetizers, which they corrected, but it was a bit of a comedy of errors from the kitchen). Again, the servers are excellent but it seems management/ownership has checked out. I know it was a tough year for Telluride but that is no excuse for the absence of graciousness. Hospitality is a verb as well as a noun, and ownership seems to have forgotten that. Sad to say this year it was hard to justify the expense of staying there.

Love the New Sheridan but especially the rooftop! Great views of the canyon, especially at sunset time - bar with limited simple food menu.. oysters, classic burger, chicken sandwich, fries, key lime pie with good crust, and lemon drops of course

The incomparable pearl of Telluride. This remains the only place to stay in town, I can say after nine stays over almost as many years. Home-like, friendly, central, understated and attached to one of the town's most fashionable restaurants, the place can't be beat. Housekeeping takes care of everything, rooms are small but cozy and you never feel you're staying in a hotel here, only your best friend's home. We can never get enough of this.

I love coming to Telluride to stay in this marvelous sweet hotel with fantastic management. They make me feel like i am always coming home! Its a true blessing to behold! great beds linens bathrooms so cozy and every room is well appointed. I think its the best deal in tride

What an amazing stay! Photos and website do not do this hotel justice. The property and rooms are classic, but well appointed and maintained. Team members were genuinely friendly, warm and inviting (as well as helpful). No dull, inattentive corporate vibes here. Amazing bathroom. Amazing linens/bed. Amazing food. Fun bar. Could not ask for more. Wouldn't stay anywhere else upon my next visit to Telluride.

We had a long weekend visit and the hotel is a wonderful combination of modern amenities and old west style. We had two dinners and a breakfast in the restaurant that were excellent. The filet mignon was incredible. The service was helpful and friendly. The bar next door is really cool. Loved our stay.

The staff is stellar! A big thanks to Ray, Fudgey and Sarah. You all are wonderful! ❤️ Our room was lovely. A fridge provided upon request. The restaurant was amazing! Great location for shopping, dining and an easy walk to the Gondola. Can’t wait to return!

Excellent experience all around ... we were unable to secure a reservation on line at a convenient time so stopped by a day earlier and made an reservation in person for the following night. Food quality and service were excellent. Enjoyed a wedge salad (split for 2), filets perfectly cooked, potatoes Anna. Highly recommend.

Snobby staff, hot breakfast sandwich was COLD. Vegetarian options which is why we went, but unfortunately not worth it for $30 for 2 breakfast sandwiches!

Great place for a quick lunch in Telluride. Probably the best prices you'll find and it's delicious as well. Comes wrapped which is perfect if you are heading out on a hike or adventure. Lots of options and the kind of homemade deli locale and ingredients that you'll love.

The atmosphere was amazing, the cocktails were great.... And then they brought out the food. Absolutely the worst Italian food I've ever had. The lasagna had a strange curry or paprika taste, we couldn't quite nail down the flavor. Chicken parmesan came out on a bed of broccoli and a carrot. Really? Yuck

Best place in town from a value-for-your-money perspective!
Enjoy perfect Italian food prepared by an Italian Chef who knows his business very well. We were lucky to find the place because it's not so big. This small size allows personal attention and excellent service. It's definitely worth to wait when they are full!

If were not for the food I would give it 1 star. The service is bad - there is a tiny young girl who should not be working yet, and she is not the worst, the other older girl doesn't have the professionalism to be serving at all. The place is yucky, old, cluttered, and dirty. Owner seemed to have put in no effort to make it a nicer dinning environment whatsoever. The food was decent.

The food is amazing. I was there with a couple of other families and we ended up sharing our dishes. It was all really delicious! I'd like to emphasize that the food is really good! The atmosphere and the service we less than stellar, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Our waitresses and bar tender were very nice and friendly, but hospitality is not their strong point. However, I must mention that we came in with 10 people in our party, and many more people came in after us; so I can understand some that service wasn't as good as it could have been (or may be) for others. I don't recommending bringing more than 6 or 8 people unless you mind being at different tables. The inside is a little messy and cluttered, but it is a small restaurant.
