Renaissance Daytona Beach Oceanfront Hotel in Daytona Beach

Hotel was good. I enjoy luxury and as far as luxurious rooms go, my I think it was OK. I stayed in a room with a balcony on the 20th floor with a view towards the city and ocean. So not directly oceanfront alone but an Oceanview. Towels were available to use when at the pool or at the beach. We were able to walk around the area by the hotel in search of a restaurant and found one where we could eat. Overall a good experience. I'm only giving the rooms 3 stars because honestly, I have such "bougie" tastes when it comes to accommodations. I just wasn't blown away. I thought it looked clean enough with nice interesting pieces for decorations and honestly, it was nice. In terms of comfort however, I always like to have some form of carpet around my bed. I understand that can get complicated when you're by the beach, but that would have made me comfortable. The bathroom was nice and the shower area quite nice and large and relaxing. Overall, a good experience. I don't remember the name of the front desk lady (Katie?) who checked us in but she was so friendly--excellent person to meet at the front desk.

We stayed yesterday and overall had a great experience. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and well maintained. We booked an ocean-view room on a high floor, and the view was phenomenal—absolutely stunning and one of the highlights of our stay.
However, we were disappointed that although the hotel is advertised as smoke-free, we frequently smelled marijuana and vape smoke throughout the property. The odor was noticeable around the pool area and even on the balcony of our room. Unfortunately, this made it difficult to enjoy sitting outside on the balcony or leaving the balcony door open to enjoy the ocean breeze.
For the price we paid, we expected the smoke-free policy to be enforced more consistently. Aside from that issue, the hotel was beautiful, the room was clean, and the ocean views were amazing. We share with staff and hope management addresses this concern for future guests.

Very nice setting. Staff could use some supervision. Maid came in the room even though the do not disturb sign was up. Charged for breakfast even though it was included. Unfriendly and discourteous staff. Most unhelpful
