Stayed here in September 2022, before Ian. This resort had excellent service, nice rooms, great food and drinks, and an awesome beachfront location. If they rebuild, I will definitely return!!

Absolutely perfect for the price! This place has everything we wanted and needed: location right on the beach, beach chaise lounges, pool provides pool towels, a full bar poolside! Hard to find these “extras” at this price point! The place is not new, but room furniture and decor is updated, and room and facilities were very clean. Our stay was good. Very good staff. The room was very outdated. The bath so tiny. The beach was wonderful. This is NOT all inclusive. Good clean pool area. Tiki bar was lots of fun. Jamal was great!! Lots of beautiful shells. Made good memories but will not be returning. Found other places more updated for same money.

Beautifully updated. Grounds are lovely, beach is beautiful, lots of onsite amenities. The price for Florida residents did go up, but they gave us a complimentary pool side upgrade! Nice staff!

Pretty nice. The "private" beach is really just an extension of the regular beach, so the resort amenities are where the real value lies. Hammocks, poolside bar, and location are the best parts. It's a motel style resort, so do not expect frills and thrills... It's basic but clean and sufficient. I would stay here again.

The Sundial Resort is a very pretty location on the gorgeous beaches on the Gulf. But it is NOT a hotel. No daily maid service. We didn't get access to one of our condos until 7 pm upon arrival and got a days credit but it ruined day 1 of a 6 day trip. Front desk was slow to reply or even answer the phone for things needed. We ended up staying three nights at this resort. It was unplanned as our flights had been canceled from a local airport. The property is absolutely beautiful. The staff is friendly and courteous. The beach is beautiful as well. We will definitely look at coming back for a visit.

It was soo fun. The food at the restaurants are amazing! Shima was fun entertaining but the food was soo good! 1 bedroom balcony was clean beautiful. Great view. Loved screen in balcony

We loved Sundial Beach Resort & Spa. Everything was perfect from the location, to the service, to our room and the restaurants. We are checking out tomorrow and sad to leave. We will be back!

The location and amenities were really nice. It has a family friendly Margaritaville vibe. Everything in the resort was very clean and high quality. The service was not great though, housekeeping never came to our room in the 5 days we were there and there weren’t enough cleaning supplies to clean stuff ourselves. The location is wonderful. The pricing doesn't reflect a true resort. This is basically a condo conglomerate that has a mixed base of use. There is no daily housekeeping, and they don't provide an ample supply of towels. They do not have phones in the units. So you have to call them for everything or text. Here's the glitch. This was a quick weekend getaway for us, and we were not disappointed the room we got was a small cabin all to itself and everything was clean, quiet (Only people there the whole time.) Will definitely stay again.

Our holiday weekend started off a bit bumpy as we made a reservation at Kona Kai in Sanibel. Upon arrival, they had told me that our reservation was canceled in their system. Adorable motel, great rooms, friendly staff. Will definitely return with my boys, but definitely perfect for the weekend away we all so desperately need. Don't be deceived by the name "motel". Rooms are clean and comfortable. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Great pool. And service is amazing. Receptionist was welcoming and helpful. She went out of her way to make us feel special and valued. Thank you to Kristen

The location was great and the kids liked it. I think if you have young kids it's an ideal set up. The design of the pool worked very well for my 4 year old who like water but can't swim

What a great location! Right on the beach! The bugs eat you alive day and night, so make sure to bring a spray. Pool good, basketball net is great if ppl didn't park there. Shelling experience is awesome, owners lovely people.

Been 4 years in a row and will be back next year. Clean quite inexpensive, amazing beach access, just have to do ur own room service with towels and sheets but I like that. No one to bother u or hassle about cleaning ur room

Love this place. Cozy little cottages and great efficiency rooms with ocean view. The pool is impeccably clean and there are always clean towels. You just can’t get any closer to the beach. The screened back patio of our room was a big bonus.

we loved our stay- we had had another night elsewhere on Sanibel which was more than double the price with appealing customer service. We were checked in early and were given a personal tour - it felt that nothing was too much trouble! we loved the wildlife area too

Super friendly. Great place to stay near the beaches and on the strip. Their motto above their check in desk says, "Come as strangers, leave as friends." I believe they live up to that. This isn't a Ritz-Carlton for people who come to be pampered in a luxury hotel. This is a great place to put your stuff down so you can go to the beach. The customer service was fabulous!! So caring and always available. We stayed in the A-frame cottage and it was perfect for our family of 5 but we did rent an inflatable mattress and didn’t use the pull out. The bathroom shower drain clogged but didn’t bother us. Very quaint, clean, with dated decor, walking distance to ammenities. Be sure to pack your own shampoo and conditioner as they do not supply any.

Nice service. Decent rooms. 10 minutes walk to the beach. Need to be careful with the noseeums or sand bites. Motel is walking distance from restaurants. Do not expect much of a night life as almost evertyhing closes around 9 or 10pm..
