Aston Islander on the Beach in Kapaa

This place is perfect, it brings all the Aloha and it has ocean front and ocean views. The grounds are beautiful, very green very tropical. The pool and hot tub area with bar is literally on the beach so you can see the ocean and feel the breeze while you sip your cocktail or coffee-close your eyes and let the sound of the ocean and birds relax your tired over worked body...(that was me) so great I scheduled another trip for April 2026 must return asap.

First time to Hawaii, the Aston was the perfect place to stay. Rooms could be updated but overall no complaints. Coconut market and great places to eat right outside your door. Perfect beach view and amazing sunrises. While most complain, I loved the roosters! Office staff were great and very helpful. Heads up there is a KAREN though.

The Islander on the Beach was a great location and beautiful place to stay! Our oceanfront room faced the east so each morning we watched the sunrise, so stunning and peaceful. The staff was helpful and welcoming. We spent our vacation exploring, so less time at the resort, but it was nice to have the poolside bar and access to the ocean! The grounds were well maintained and although right by the coconut marketplace, it still feels calm and like a slice of paradise. The parking lot is small, so some nights it was hard to find parking if we came back after 9:00pm. Other than that, our stay was wonderful!!

The service at Aston is above and beyond. We had a beachfront first floor room for most of our stay. We moved up to a second floor beach view when our airline canceled our flights. Peggy, at the front desk, was so helpful in arranging a room for me for one more night at the last minute.

The sidewalk that runs along the beach is a great place to take a morning or evening stroll. There are chairs situated along the tree line at the beach to sit and watch the sun come up in the morning.

There are grills available if you would like to eat in one night

But the most incredible thing is the landscaping on this property. There are orchids and sugarcane and coconut trees and banana trees, and every type of flower that you can think of.

They only complain I have was at the beds were not super comfortable. But I am also a mattress snob so take that with a grain of salt.

You’re also located right across the parking lot from The Coconut Marketplace. Lots of free activities, a general store that has great food and great coffee, and many stores to find anything that you are looking for as far as gifts to take home to friends and family

Our room was absolutely perfect! Everything you needed in a mini kitchen, minus a stove! Our room had a queen and a pull out bed. They were very comfortable and the bedding was great. It was VERY clean when we arrived and felt welcoming.

They do not have daily housekeeping, but that was fine. Anytime I needed a fresh bath mat or a random sheet, they were happy to provide it. They also had pool towels on hand, all day!

Their pool and hot tub are great, the beach is really nice as well! I took some phenomenal pictures when we first arrived!!

The BEST part is the location. You are at the halfway point of so much fun! Every time we wanted to go somewhere, it was either 30 - 45 minutes in either direction. Very close to the airport and other necessary shopping needs that pop up. Safeway, ROSS, and Longs Drugs are just around the corner.

The staff is so amazing, especially Peggy! She was so, so sweet, just so accommodating, attentive, and never stopped smiling.

I'm so happy I chose this hotel, I'll absolutely be staying here again.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Islander. It has been quiet, peaceful, and friendly, and there are a lot of good places to eat within comfortable walking distance from the hotel. And the ocran view from our lanai is mesmerizing. Yeah, we'd stay here again!

Rooms could be updated. Ac didn’t work in the beach fronting room the first night. 2nd night we moved rooms but then was upstairs when we specifically wanted to walkout to the beach. So that was disappointing, but AC was more important.
Location to beach was amazing!! Always had chairs to lounge in and the beach was amazing and relaxing.

We got a beach view room on the ground level, it was wonderful! So nice to have such beautiful grounds and easy access to lounge on the beach. The pool and hot tub were very nice and the accommodations were just perfect for us. Hands down the best landscaping for miles. Walking distance to local restaurants and shops, local accredited farmers market included on Tuesday and Thursday. Nice parking and laundry is needed. Safe spot on the island to go to any part, we traveled as far north and west as we could on the island. This resort is comfortable for the average traveler wanting to spend more time out of the room.
