Avoid this hotel. The carpets are very stained and sticky. A group of young adults broke into a hotel room on the 3rd floor than was being chased down by the room owner. The young adults ran into an elderly lady as we were getting out of the elevator. The elevator inspection certificate is expired as well. The breakfast is horrible, it’s just some Jimmy dean sandwiches and muffins and things. I wrote a email to the General Manager Curt Baker and received a very unimpressive email back about how the breaking and entering situation was addressed with the guest involved. But I was involved also and Curt never even asked if I was ok. How I feel about it, or anything. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!

It looks like this hotel is “newish” as the outside sign is busted out and a small printed sign is hung at the front desk saying “The Peoria Hotel”. The guy at the desk seemed to be expecting us which was nice. The check-in process was quick. The decor was older. The beds did not have a covering over the box springs. The pull out sofa had some crumbs in it and no extra linen. The phone did not connect to the front desk so we had to go and get extra linen. This would be one reason why I would not recommend the hotel. If there was an emergency, there would be no way to call the front t desk for help. There is no housekeeping service which was a surprise. We had no refills of Kleenex or toilet paper during the stay. The breakfast was the same everyday. The ice machine on the first and second floor did not work. The only great thing about the hotel was the three guys who rotated at the front desk. They were extremely nice and promptly helped us. There did not seem to be a lot of people staying there as we were able to park close to the front door.

Room refrigerator smelled like mold. Carpet stains everywhere. Stains on couch cushions. Beds largely uncomfortable...which we can deal with, it's always a mixed bag. I don't think they were actually queen beds. They seemed smaller than queens. I sleep on a queen at home, and this was definitely not a queen sized bed. I feel as if a corporate team were to come in, they would shut down the place based on our room. If it is corporates fault by not approving a budget, then shame on Marriott.

Rooms are absolutely disgusting. Operational manager of the building did not seem to care in the slightest nor was this news to her I was told "all the rooms are going to be the same". If the attached photos are what the all the rooms look like., book your stay anywhere else

The hotel could use some updates in the rooms but the staff was super friendly. The only reason we would not stay again is because we stayed one night and they charged our card 3 times and put our bank account into negative.

When I arrived to check in on 10/8/2025 I was greeted by the Front Desk Agent who was not very nice!
First she said my reservation was cancelled she blamed ******* for cancelling my reservation. Then she changed her story and said a staff cancelled my reservation.
So I had to pay out of pocket for the room. Which was not a very nice room.
The room was not cleaned at all and the desk agent gave me this room on purpose.

One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at. All the carpet is stained , the pool is broken and property is generally run down. How this place is associated with the Marriott brand is beyond me. They claim they lower the prices to compensate for it. Gee here’s an idea fix your carpet at least it would go a long way. Nobody wants a filthy room.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. I recommend sleeping in your car before staying here. I had to go through three rooms before finding one and I accepted that one because of time of night and was just accepting it. I contacted the manager and he offerd me a 20 dollar credit for terrible service and accommodations. Fortunately Marriott Corporate made it right after explaining the situation, providing pictures and informing them of the managers remedy to the situation.
