Hotel Lansing in Lansing

Why don't they put the customers on one side and remodel the other side? If it is dirt why don't you put the customers to work help keeping the hotel up. Some of the people that stay there could learn work ethics. Then Lansing would have a beautiful place for the homeless and they could also be very proud of the work they did. Because we all know if you love your work you will keep things nice. I have never stayed here but just a suggestion.

They need to close this place down and/or turn it over to the nonprofit that tries to help the homeless. My aunt lived there in a room for over a year with bed bugs biting her up and they didn't care and kept demanding her rent! She couldn't find another place to accept her limited income until just recently and I'm so glad she is out of that awful place. It is a health hazard!

I booked a 2night stay here for my and my husband and our two babies, I walked in to check in and it was litterally a homeless shelter!!!! How can Orbitz even advertise this as a hotel?? Nothing against the homeless, and im glad that they have a location for people without homes to stay, but SERIOUSLY!!!! I PAID 80 BUX to stay at a homeless shelter??? I walked right back out and called orbitz and cancelled my stay and recieved a refund. Just driving into the parking lot was creepy enough, windows boarded up and absolutly filthy outside. OH and the complimentary breakfast is a JOKE!!! When i walked in I saw what they had that morning still sitting out and thrown around as if it was obviously rummaged through, WOW im apauled that they charge people to stay here. WARNING>>>> DO NOTTTTT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RUN FAR FAR AWAY i wish i could give it zero stars... They had a huge sign hanging out front that says THANK YOU HOMELESS!!! omg this is just insane how do they stay in business... Ill be calling the health department, this cannot be safe or healthy

First things first. NO. Please do not stay here. Unless you are Stephen King and you are researching your next novel. There were hardly any cars in the parking lot, which should've been the first clue to run away. Once in the lobby, I realized it was not only the scariest and dirtiest "hotels" i've ever seen, but also doubles as a homeless shelter. The check in process takes about 20 minutes and once we were given our room key we had to be escorted by some gentleman to "make sure the door works." We were told that the hotel had no vacancy but once on our floor I was aware that was a complete lie. The sweet smell of chemicals and smoke greeted us as the elevator doors opened. On our journey down the hallway towards our room we passed rooms that were wide open due to the fact that the doors had been obviously kicked in. Our room was already opened, so there was no need for the escort. We didn't even need a key. We didn't stay around to check out the room as we were scared for our lives. Once the stranger that walked us to our room was gone we ran out as fast as our legs could take us and never looked back.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The most unsafe I've ever felt. Checked in after a football game, was told the hotel had no vacancy, and was escorted down a hallway where all rooms were cracked open. Left within 5 minutes of seeing the room, as I genuinely feared for my safety. Good location to film a slasher movie, though. Calling Priceline to get my money back and file a complaint.
