I can tell the Clarion was once a very nice hotel but seems to perhaps be under new management these days and has declined. The bathroom in the first room was not clean so I asked for another one. I spoke to Paul at the front desk and he was nice enough to give me a new room which was much cleaner.

Bathroom mirrors streaked, bathtub need to be caulked, paint peeling off room wall, shade in bad shape, checkin staff friendly, morning staff cranky, not a fan of food voucher or not being able to take it to my room with a person at the door to watch over you just made me uncomfortable. Building under constructing and material is scattered everywhere outside, with gigantic holes throughout parking...

Staff was courteous. Room was ok. Kinda dirty. Pool was leaking from rain. And seemed to have a lot of hair floating around

Facility was run down when walking in. It looks okay nice but rooms run down and poorly kept batbroom shower had reminisce of previous guest hair. The pool was okay kept had mold around the window just the slightest and many broken items around the hotel and multiple leaks around the hotel as well.

Property is right across the road from Horrocks and there’s plenty of dining and shopping areas nearby. Our first tome staying here and while we probably wouldn’t stay again it wasn’t too disappointing, just not what we normally stay at. There are more rooms. The room is spacious but a little dark. The bed was very comfortable. The front desk had a good attitude. The breakfast options are not many, but the taste is ok. The hotel has good value for money.

Staff was amazing! Hotel is nice. The only thing I can say bad is that it’s super weird to me to not let DoorDash or anything bring your items to the room never had that before otherwise great stay for this wrestling family!

Room was nice enough and the staff was friendly and the bed was probably the best we've encountered at a hotel. Though the hotel seems to be serving as a shelter. We didn't experience any issues due to this, but overheard staff conversations and signs on the door forbidding media access imply issues aren't unheard of, though couldn't say if they are more frequent than with the general population

Fairly easy check in. The room was a very good value for the price. Loud neighboring guests. A front desk representative interrupted my wife's phone conversation to ask what room she was staying in. The inference was that she wasn't supposed to be there.

None of the additional facilities are open at this time - pool, restaurant, breakfast, are all closed. I was aware at the time I made reservation. Facilities are definitely dated and in need of updating. Beds, linens, bathroom, etc., were OK - not great, not awful. The parking facilities were in definitely need of security and maintenance updating.

Comfortable It was a comfortable room. Our deadbolt wouldn't lock and I didn't like the parking. Those are my only complaints! Other than that, room was nice and clean and it was perfect for a quick sleep.

Needs better dressed counter personnel and upgrade First. The girl at the desk at first looked shady. Sweatshirt with hoodie covering everthing bit her eyes, nose and mouth. My husband went to meet our friend and before they left the hotel to go to the Michigan State game, he had to use the bathroom. He askedcwhere it was so he didn't have to go back up to the room. The staff were very friendly and professional. Not too much interaction but, that's what they aim for. No constructive feedback at all as my stay was one night and uneventful.

Booked here for location, which was ideal for downtown area. The staff was friendly and helpful, including third party valet service which I highly recommend. My air unit didn’t blow cold air so that’s a thing. Secondly, I’m all for all families with kids to be on same floors. Kids were screaming at 1130pm running down halls. Not cool.

Area of downtown that gets very quiet at night, and even the valet closes at midnight. Easy walk to capital or Lugnut baseball stadium. No shops or cafes locally at night. Really comfortable rooms, very nice staff. A pleasant stay.

easy access to MSU, but roads are pothole filled! Parking NOT included with price to stay-and NOT convenient for out of state MSU parent going back/forth to hotel. Will not stay again due to this issue.

C Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. There was only 1 elevator working during our 3 day stay, so waits were long. The pool was closed for service 2 of the 3 days as well.

Very festive! Can’t beat the location. Plenty of shops nearby (not all big box stores either) if you forget anything. Breakfast was good but expensive. Bummed they didn’t even have complimentary coffee.

Black mold in shower. No coffee bar.......even the cheapest hotels have 24 hr. free coffee available......and especially for the cost of a room at the Marriott.

All of our kids got chemical burns from the pool which looked dirty despite clearly excess or improper chemicals.

The front desk staff was very friendly. The pool room was uncomfortably hot and humid. The heat with the chlorine made it almost unbearable. There was a lot of room to visit in the lobby, which was wonderful. The room was spacious and clean. The detergent from the sheets made my skin breakout into a rash so that was a bummer. It was a good stay overall.

Clean rooms and hotel. Heating unit in our room was extremely loud. We had to turn the air conditioning on in order for it to stop.

This Hyatt Place is great! I’ve stayed here multiple times when I’m in East Lansing for business.

Nice and helpful staff! The room is clean, and the temperature was perfect upon entering the room too. I only took a star away because the shower head didn't work properly, and you got a light trickle but not really a spray out of it.

The room furnishing appeared very old and worn out. There were parts of the ceiling which were peeling. The toilet in the bathroom wasn't totally clean.

The room was clean, but the shampoo had soap in it, the exact same as the body wash. There was a lot of activity at night with various arguments and slamming doors. I was near the university, so expected some of this. In the morning there was a giant pile of groceries in the parking lot and more people arguing. 😳😞 I hope they were able to save their food. Otherwise, It was fine. I was just sleeping...

Some rooms are on the first floor, some on the second; soundproofing is average. The parking lot is spacious and free, and the hotel is located in a relatively quiet area. Suitable for those seeking value for money.

This place was awesome the room was clean NO BUGS in sight. It was very quiet. House keeping called to see if we needed anything later in the afternoon which was great usually they beat on your door. The guy who checked us in was very nice. The only complaint is the breakfast there was like 6 pieces of bread for toast and like 6 choclate donuts the small stale kind. Comfortable and cozy rooms albeit a bit dated. A decent distance from the MSU and if visiting MSU, I'd locate a hotel nearer to the campus

Great room and the kids had a great time at the pool. Staff was friendly and everything went seamless. Stayed for a night while the kids were on spring break and not a single problem. Lots to do in the area for us and the kids. Food choices in the same drive as the hotel and a Walmart as well if you forgot anything .

My 1st love in home away from home....AKA: my Lansing home! I have been going there four years and I have never been disappointed. The most courteous, friendly and helpful staff! They set the standard for hospitality!

Check in/out was quick, room was average (Queen bed, pull out couch for 3 adults). After check in we discovered a sign in the room saying we had to go back to the front desk to request bedding for the pull out. That would have been nice to be told when checking in as it would have saved us a trip back to the desk. Breakfast was average.

Booked here for a last minute funeral. The room was much larger than I expected and it was quite clean. Definitely the largest breakfast I’ve ever seen at a “free breakfast” hotel before! Was very pleasantly surprised and left VERY full! Would absolutely stay here again!

I love the accommodations in this motel because I have two sinks ,with cable TV and a large Mini refrigerator and nice shower. The location is great with many places to eat. My husband and I stayed here while work was being done on our home, and what started as a short stay turned into a much longer one due to some unexpected contractor delays.
