Reviews
The only thing we disliked was during the timeshare presentation we repeatedly said no we weren’t interested in buying, but it took 5 times of saying no before they finally stopped trying to pressure us.
I’m saying that I would definitely stay at this location again in the future. It’s family friendly, nice and quiet and not crazy expensive.
Otherwise Nice Unit
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort in Las Vegas over Christmas while visiting my fiancé's sister.
Unfortunately, our experience was largely negative due to repeated issues with staff professionalism and guest treatment.
From the moment we arrived, the tone was set poorly. At check-in, a front desk employee who appeared frustrated with her computer abruptly raised her voice at us and told us to move into a different line. When we stepped into the "owner" line, the staff member there immediately and loudly asked me, "SIR! Are you an owner?" - despite the fact that I was standing quietly behind my fiancé.
The interaction felt unnecessarily aggressive and disrespectful.
The unit itself was genuinely excellent - spacious, clean, and luxurious. However, we were surprised to learn that there was no regular room service. We were told we would need to wash our own towels and make our own bed, which was not clearly communicated upfront and felt inappropriate for a resort stay.
We were also required to attend an introductory timeshare presentation. The representative started out friendly and professional, but the interaction changed when I raised a legitimate safety concern.
I have balance issues due to surviving brain cancer, and I pointed out the lack of safety bars around the very large bathtub. His response was dismissive and insulting: "You should’ve booked a handicap unit." The wording and tone were demeaning, and the concern itself was brushed aside rather than addressed.
Additionally, we were initially told we could check out at 2:00 PM. On the final day, this suddenly changed to 12:00 PM, which felt suspicious given that we declined to become owners. To make matters worse, a housekeeping staff member entered our unit around 11:00 AM without knocking, which was alarming and unacceptable.
The only consistently positive aspect of our stay was the unit itself - it truly was beautiful and well-designed. Unfortunately, poor communication, rude staff interactions, accessibility insensitivity, and lack of respect for guest privacy completely overshadowed that.
Based on our experience, I would not recommend this property unless significant improvements are made in staff training, accessibility awareness, and guest relations.
While the room itself is spacious and close to the strip it doesn’t make up for the cons. My short summary I would NOT recommend THIS location to anyone. The apartment style buildings, loud neighbors, lack of on site activities and entertainment, was more than enough to not come back or recommend.
Cons include:
- PAPER THIN WALLS. I can hear people across the hall, on side of me and even BELOW me. We have a toddler with us so I understand it will be some noise. But how can I hear the people below me running around on the 2nd floor when I’m on the 3rd?
- no elevators. While only 3 floors it may not be a hassle for some but come on. The resort doesn’t advise or did the staff ask ahead of checking in if there would be any issues climbing the stairs.
- laundry is outside on the balcony? That’s just weird and inconvenient especially the time I’m here currently while it’s raining.
- shower/tub in the master room doesn’t work properly. When I turn the water on it comes out the shower head and faucet.
- not sure how maintenance works around here but I put a bag of trash outside my door and it’s been sitting there for 3 days now.
- my biggest complaint aside from all the noise you hear from the neighbors is the lack of feeling like an actual resort. It feels more like an apartment complex with a gym and pool. Compared to the other resorts I’ve been to this one definitely lacked entertainment and activities. They did host bingo, yoga, and a few other activities but it seems like they relay on proximity to the strip and sphere to offset the lack of on site activities.
- one last thing, I’ve done these tour presentations about 4 times at this point. David in Vegas the “closer” additional sales person not sure his actual title. But he was VERY rude, short, and disregarding once we insisted we didn’t want to purchase. He just walked off with out properly ending the conservation and just went on to the next couple.
The pools, the overall layout of the resort, and the free parking are all major advantages in Las Vegas. Staff were generally friendly and helpful.
A couple of things could be improved: some units would benefit from minor updates, and the timeshare pitch can be a bit bothersome if you’re not interested.
Still, it’s a comfortable, convenient, and well-maintained property—great for anyone who wants space and relaxation while staying close to the action of the Strip.
Recommended.
