From the first greeting by the parking attendants upon arrival to the pleasant check out by the staff at the front desk every interaction with the staff at The Charleston place was excellent. We will be quick to return the next time visit to Charleston. 

Disappointed that the pool was being renovated. But the hotel was beautiful and in a perfect location.

This is the hotel I was most dissatisfied with during this trip. Apart from its good location, there is nothing else to recommend, except that the white guy who helped with parking was very responsible. Before leaving, I went to find him and gave him a tip to express my gratitude.

The beds were so comfortable and they come with a fridge which is nice for storing beverages. Each floor has a water and ice refill station. The pool chairs are comfy. The only thing I would say is that the pool food menu could use a little work. I would stay here again. Gorgeous lobby and great location.

Right in the heart of downtown, Mills house sticks out beautifully. The color of the hotel is to be adored, along with the details of art and history on the inside. First night here & one of the best places I've ever stayed. Wasn't sure where to stay for my first visit to Charleston, SC. With free parking, a resort shuttle to historic Charleston, & the availability of the water taxi, this seems like the perfect base to explore the area. We had a fantastic stay! Definitely stay in the Beach House! It is new and clean and decorated gorgeous. The pool is lovely and there are plenty of places to eat and drink. The view from our room of the USS Yorktown was spectacular. We will be back.

The newest building is very nice. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and they have plenty of amenities. There are a couple of different restaurants and two or three bars, including a tiki bar by the largest pool. The rooms were nice and spacious with hardwood flooring. Standard size rooms are plenty big for two people. Everything was clean and service was very friendly. There was a little smell in the hall but nothing annoying. The Beach side of resort seemed nicer and more happening. Pool was great with fire pits. This is our favorite destination near Charleston! The property is well maintained. It has everything we need from pools, hot tub, fire pits and a gym. Sea view room, nice view, the equipment is a little old, but it can be used normally, the bedding is very high-end, free parking, not far from the bridge, strongly recommend everyone to go to the bridge, very close to the aircraft carrier park, 5 minutes walk, there is a free shuttle bus to the ancient town, in short, a good hotel

Always extremely clean! We had breakfast added to our room price. The buffet was very good. Enough variety for someone who has picky tastes . It’s very relaxing to sit at any window and look out across and see the old “Cooper River Bridge”, which I ran once and Fort Sumter.

The hotel has been well-maintained over the years. It has been renovated and feels fairly modern. The beds are very comfortable and the staff are kind. Nice, clean hotel in a good location. Was bummed that you couldn't actually go out on the balcony. That was the whole reason we had chosen this hotel so that we had a place to sit after our kids had gone to bed.

The hotel is nice enough but it is ready for an update. I understand it is in historic Charleston but that's not an excuse to not update the carpets. The hotel was nice. But I have 2 complaints with my room (207), the thermostat had a motion or light sensor so it would turn off if I wasn't in the room. Which meant it got hot while I wasn't there. The shower was nice but the water pressure was weak and the temperature was impossible to set. It was either scolding hot, hot, or off. It took quite a bit of time for the shuttle to pick us up from the airport even though we called ahead. We booked a double queen room and were told once we got to the hotel that they were all booked and we could take a king with a double pull out. That was frustrating. Decent room, being close to the airport is not my favored location. Breakfast was fairly standard. Unfortunately they also lock down the TV inputs so you cannot use a person device like Google TV. One set of the stairs was blocked for painting, which seems a bit of a hazard, and something that should be easy enough to make happen quickly.

This was by far one of the best hotel stays that I've ever had. The staff were great and welcoming, the amenities were perfect, breakfast was great, and the hotel was very clean. We went for a family vacation, and even though it was cold, the hotel made our trip that much more enjoyable.

Oh wow ! My family and I recently stayed at the Candlewood and it was fantastic ! The entire staff was really nice and accommodating, their suites are clean , spacious and family friendly. Very nice hotel, staff was very accommodating, breakfast area is very, very busy but they have multiple employees on hand to help serve everyone. Great hotel. It was clean and the staff was friendly. Several places to eat in walking distance. Continental breakfast was impressive, very good. The 2 beds in our room were small though. Instead of 2 queen beds, they were more like double beds. Just keep that in mind. Otherwise, we really enjoyed it.

The cleaning spray was a little much. The view not so nice, the employees were very nice and the room was clean. Recently remodeled obviously. Nice breakfast and right by the bus stop. Price was reasonable is why we stayed there. Bed was comfortable!

Disappointment We had a reservation for a King in the Enclave. With VIP access it should have included a complimentary bottle of wine, late check out, etc. We we arrived we were directed to the Vendue building for check in saying our room had been moved. Why ??
