Upon arrival to the Charleston place , we were greeted by our names by everyone and friendly and informative information ! It was my husband’s birthday, so what a nice surprise for him ! Our whole stay was , great ! From the service to to rooms ! Comfortable and accommodating! Great location and the lounge -bar , I loved ! Warm and cozy and inviting ! I definitely recommend staying here and will go...
The location was excellent, with many restaurants within walking distance. King street (great shopping area) was just a block away. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it as a premier hotel in this great city
World class service with elegant southern charm. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, every staff member made it a memorable experience. So much attention to detail, from the bell service with Ben E
The Charleston Place was a delight from the minute we walked in the front door until we left. All staff members were friendly and accommodating. Our room was beautiful and very clean
The hotel, location, restaurants and staff are amazing and the Christmas decoration was so beautiful. We will always remember our stay at this hotel. It’s a very special place.
The staff are very professional, courteous and super keen to assist in any way possible. The room was clean and comfortable. Loved the central location.

The Staff went above and beyond for us. My husband had surgery and we had to stay close by for 2 nights. After getting him back to the property they got him a wheelchair and checked on us!!! Do caring and thoughtful.
Excellent hotel we were in room 925. When the AC or heat came on the vent rattled making a loud noise. Heavy rust covers the door hinges to the bathroom which is not normal for a Marriott property.
I believe God name was Noah (?). Our initial reason for coming to Charleston was for a show at a local venue. The venue canceled at the last minute, so we came with no plans
No problem! Noah, at check in, gave me 3 or 4 options. one being Charleston Christmas Light show. and it made for a fantastic evening and weekend!
The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We did not eat at hotel. Our view was the roof tops with HVAC units, standing water, no view.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the location in the Historic District is super convenient for walking to restaurants and attractions. The kids enjoyed the pool, though the water was a bit cold
I stayed there for 10 days and I loved it all! The indoor pool was my main draw since my grand daughters visited often. The breakfast was always hot & plentiful and clean
The staff kept it clean and filled! I must say, staff was a little chintzy with the paper goods. I had a cold and wanted a second box if tissues- nope. Also- I didnt have the room cleaned often, so I did save you $$$$
The space was very nice and the rooms were very well maintained. Turn down service was kind of all over the place. not a constant time, not sure if it's short staffing or why that is
Some days it was 1pmish and others were 6pm. Breakfast was good every morning except when they put the turkey bacon out
It was over cooked and I over heard a few people say they could eat breakfast cause it made them nauseous. But all the other food was amazing

Room was clean and modern
The bar and food service was great. The gym has a good selection of equipment, was very clean, and even smelled good. Pool area is nice as well.
Check in was quick but no amenities were discussed with me, I had to wonder off to find the pool entrance for my daughter to swim
Booked a corner room- there are no corner rooms at the Marriott we stayed at- went to room AC broke. Front desk moved us to a higher room and comped us the 24 hr. Appreciated her attempt to make things right
The next morning I asked about the shuttle to the airport and the person at the front desk told me next shuttle was In 15 mins to just wait out in front. I ended up ordering an uber at 7:15
Asked for maintenance to fix a stuff toilet and clogged sink. The maintenance man dropped off a plunger, i asked him to unclog it, he continued to leave
I lived the room and the staff. However the room nect to mine had two vey loud people. Beati g and banging and laughing until after 2 am both night
Excellent customer service throughout all employee levels. Rooms and hotel are Beautifully decorated with high quality bedding, towels, etc. Great restaurant and Sky bar. One of our best hotel experiences ever!
Very much a 5-Star Hotel. Every interaction we had with staff was stellar. I didn't get names besides in their Kings Club with Ashley & also with the manager Alana - both couldn't have provided better experiences.
This is luxury. It was an amazing experience. It is close to so much. I enjoyed some tours while I was there. It was just overall a very relaxed and intentional time.
Wonderful hotel with a great location. Clean and safe. Friendly staff. Beautifully adorned for Christmas making the season extra magical.
Everything about our experience with Hotel Bennett was absolutely first class. A memorable experience.
Room was very clean and super nice and the location was great. The staff was very accommodating and the only downside was the toilet paper because it was very cheap and I wouldn’t expect that.
Minor complaint - the bathroom in our room ( a standard double ) was on the small side - but the shower pressure was great and towels replenished daily. I would absolutely stay here again
The elegance of this hotel has an old-world feel, which seems to pull you back in time to an era where men and women would dress up for every occasion. The craftsmanship and finishes of this building will have you in awe
The front desk and valet service were among the best I've ever had- prompt , courteous and happy to serve ( a rarity these days for sure )
Our room was comfortable and clean with complementary water bottles replenished daily in addition to the usual tea/coffee
The people who work here are all friendly and willing to help. This is a little on the pricey side, but we'll be worth the cost
One of the top hotels in downtown Charleston. Located in the heart of downtown Charleston. Easy to get to and from all the destinations in and around town

This was a gorgeous hotel!! the room was stunning. It was in walking distance to everything. The rooftop bar was so fun and the waitstaff went above and beyond. we will definitely be visiting the Dewberry again!
The entire place is my favorite and there are a lot of choices in Charleston. Probably the most comfortable beds and pillows. Also, the finishes are just gorgeous. The hotel always smells incredible too and very clean
The rooftop bar and the ground floor bar at the Dewberry are top notch. The Ordinary and Prohibition are two great restaurants close to the hotel. The staff were great and hospitality was top notch
My only area of improvement, I wish they'd remember me. I've stayed there a dozen times and they always ask, "Is it your first time with us?" It would be nice to have some sort of reward program
Stay in Charleston
The Dewberry is ideally located to explore Charleston. It’s walking distance to most places within town and close to some great restaurants, bars and museums
One of the best hotel stays we’ve experienced. From the beautiful room, roof top bar, coffee and tea offering in the mornings, and the car service they offered—we could not have been more pleased

Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Bistro/Starbucks staff were kind and helpful. The only thing I wish I had known was there is no parking onsite. Valet is an option though. I would 100% return again.
Room was great but the staff really stood out. So pleasant and helpful. Everyone from valet to front desk to maintenance were just phenomenal and led to a really lovely first visit to Charleston
we could even check out umbrellas. which they didn't have at our other hotels. The housekeeping was awesome always greeted us with a smile and a friendly comment
My daughter and I had a great stay. We will definitely stay there again in the future.
Excellent location to the downtown area. Spacious two queen bed room. Coffee shop and lite meals available during certain times. Highly recommend this hotel.
Our room was spacious, very clean, fresh linens, with a nice view. I definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking to stay downtown Charleston

Tiasha was very patient and attentive at the front desk! I had no phone in my room and when I showed frustration to her she was very kind and patient to accommodate a late check out and understand why I felt the way I did
Whenever we come here we get Jo as our server and she is great. We are local and this bar is totally overlooked for how great it is! If you are visiting the area, come here for the view!!! Love it!
I recently stayed at the Charleston Riverview hotel and had a great stay. The hotel is close to everything, the staff was great including the night agent Darrel
The restaurant has good food with a great view and overall reasonable cost. Definitely worth exploring in you plan to visit
When we checked out in the morning the front desk assistance was very pleasant and friendly. I would highly recommend this place to stay at
The location is good and there's enough parking. I also had a large room and was happy with my stay here

The chef that cooked breakfast is outstanding. amazing food, very kind, excellent service. The women who worked at the cafe/bar were also outstanding.
We were thoroughly pleased with the hotel. The atmosphere, staff greetings, the grounds, and food options were top tier. Everyone was eager to assist and were very patient while showing awesome professionalism
We will definitely be going back!
Breakfast was wonderful! Amanda made it incredibly accommodating for us each of the 4 mornings we dined there!! I’m a picky eater, and Amanda was more than happy to listen to and honor the modifications to my order…service with an infectious beautiful smile!!! All the breakfast staff were wonderful!! Thank you!!!
The room was clean and the location was convenient. The hotel had a shuttle to the historic district and the drivers were very friendly and helpful.
1 of the queen beds seemed to have a bit of a support issue on the left side in room 328. Bed might have even been a bit sloped down on that side. Ordered a full egg breakfast with eggs over easy

The area is going through reconstruction? Renovations? Not sure but could see a lot of small debris in room on floor- so other than that the warmed cookies really makes up for it
Great stay. Good customer service. Breakfast staff was amazing. The cleaning crew could be more thorough. My room looked clean but I found someone else’s socks.
I was surprised by the airplane bottles still in use at the bar, as the "airport" DoubleTree a few miles away was a free-pour establishment. Dana was a great bartender and still made the bar experience nice
We paid for our food, it was amazing. Staff were wonderful and helpful.
Pleasant staff and check in was easy. Location is cllse to the interstate which made everything quick and accessible. About 8 miles from donwtown activites
I would definitely stay again, very close to the airport and highway tons of food and shopping.

With it being an indoor pool, we assumed it would have been heated. Now it wasn't advertised to have a heated pool
It’s breakfast is really good, but it is not free like advertised. It’s $10 for Continental and $20 if you want any protein.
Standout hotel breakfast, believe it or not. In addition to the usual less expensive fruit offerings, blackberries and cut strawberries were a great surprise. The entire staff was very friendly
The room was cleaned. The front desk clerks were friendly and the shuttle drivers were very good. I left my phone in the shuttle and the driver made sure to bring it back to the front desk.
A home away from home!
Great in-house restaurant. Nearby restaurants also an option. Very close to Charleston airport with a wonderful shuttle service. In addition, for $10 a day, you can leave your car there
The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were updated and clean. I wasn’t a fan of the shape of the bathtub. Standing for a shower almost gave me vertigo. I felt like I was falling.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel in Mount Pleasant, Charleston. The facilities were excellent, and I especially enjoyed the gym and pool. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making my visit even more pleasant
Loved the heated pool and outdoor area. Great food options. Beautiful property. Clean rooms
The heated pool was perfect to enjoy during the cooler winter temps and everything was spotless. I definitely recommend stay here!
The restaurant and bar were excellent. The multiple pools outside were lovely. Perfect place to stay when visiting this fun city
THIS WILL NOW BE OUT 'GO TO' HOTEL WHEN WE VISIT CHARLESTON. GREAT ROOMS AND FAIR PRICES.
Weather was awesome, pool was unexpected pleasure. Stayed at this property several times, never disappoints.
front desk guy was amazing when we had an embarrassing accident. he was kind and offered help beyond what we could have asked for. It made an evening that might have been ruined into one we could relax and enjoy
The lobby was welcoming, the staff were so helpful and friendly, and our room was great. The hotel is in the beautiful historic part of town opposite the Visitor Center where the tour buses leave. Perfect!
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Breakfast was good and various and service was attentive. I asked for a quiet room and we got it
Rooms clean and comfy, breakfast with variety of food as a continental breakfast, helpful and nice staff, well location.
The Location of the hotel is convenient, easy to walk around and close to everything
I wish I got his name but was about 7 pm last night

Indoor pool was fun for my kids and the hot breakfast options were delicious
The front staff was cordial not over friendly. The closet was not really usable at all. The vent/light switch for the bathroom was very loud. I’ve never heard one like that before
We had one towel that looked clean but had long brown marks on it. The breakfast was good not great. Not one of the best hotel breakfasts around but it filled you up. There was plenty of parking and good lighting
Great stay !! So happy I chose to stay in this hotel. Everything was great and the room was clean and comfortable.
Very safe area, close to restaurants and shopping, within walking distance. Very clean, nice staff. Need are very comfortable.
Check in and out are very smooth and quick. We love the breakfast and the proximity that the hotel has to the airport, shops, restaurants, etc. Will stay again!

Bottom line is they are under staffed. Printed signs all over the place stating elevator not working, bathrooms not working. This hotel needs a major upgrade. The nice wood floors in my room were filthy
The hotel is dated, but it’s in a perfect location. The view was beautiful from our room. We could see the river bridges. Dinner in the restaurant was very nice as well. And the staff were excellent.
The desk staff, driver, and all other staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return to this location the next time we plan to visit Charleston
The location of the hotel is close to downtown, and it is convenient to park the car there (free parking) and take the shuttle bus to downtown
The hotel itself has a unique cylinder like structure, and my room has an view of the river. Room is relatively clean, but you can see the ages of the hotel
Room was clean but bathroom was tired and sink faucet very hard to turn on. We also were given the shuttle hours and were not informed that they were not running Sunday evening leading to a long wait and $20 taxi bill

Or, you can take the water taxi directly from the hotel pier to downtown Charleston. A few downers were the apparent lack of enough towels, both in our room and at the pool
One of the classy hotels left in the world!! Every inch of the place was nice & perfect inside out. Huge bathtub in the room bathroom. Perfect for a romantic couple’s trip
Deluxe king with balcony room was beautiful, clean and spacious with a gorgeous pool, harbor and sunset view. Loved the little in room fireplace. All staff we encountered were professional, friendly and efficient
There were some dirty clothes left in a small dresser in the closet, but other than that the room was extremely clean. Housekeeping refreshed towels and wash clothes daily
We wish we used the advantage of outside pools (which was heated!)
We stayed on a Christmas day and a few services were unavailable, but regardless that the staff and other services were excellent. We would like to go back and stay longer.

Thought they would knock n check the room out to see if dog was in her kennel or not there so they could clean my room, exchange new towels. Took my dog with me again, she always goes with me
Confronted maid service, told them I would be out of my room with my dog til 8 pm. Would like my room cleaned, they said they would have to check with management. I paid pretty good money for my room
Overall, wonderful stay, especially for a quick overnighter in Charleston. Several minor things to tweak into a better hotel, but at the end of the day I will be staying at Tru again
For starters a microwave would be nice in the room. Room cleaning everyday would be nice. They told me to put a animal sign on door. I didn't know they wouldn't enter the room with it on
My dog n I were gone from 7am til 730pm. Came back to no clean or clean towels
Expected some service in exchange. Plus animal fee on top of the expensive room price. Don't get me wrong I like paying a little extra for a clean room, nice amenities
For any fellow travelers reading this review at the top of the "Recent" or "High to Low," filtered lists, the first thing you need to know is the renovations are more or less complete and the ribbon-cutting ceremony should be taking place any day now
The front desk agent Avianna was very pleasant and was able to answer all of my questions and was also very humorous! One of the best experiences I’ve had in years with a hotel desk agent
Marriott Bonvoy members rejoice, this is the newest member of the Fairfield fleet, one that will no doubt have a bright future in Charleston
Tara who is an absolute delight and will help usher in a seamless and welcomed transition
I will be visiting soon! My wife and I had a great time! Enjoyed the all day coffee
I would give a 5 star rating but there was no TV or wifi for most of the evening and night and the only answer we received was it will be on within the hour, other than that and I am sure it doesn't happen often this place is great
This is one of the finest hotels in the city at the corner of Meeting and Market Streets. True old southern charm and feel with great staff and a terrific restaurant. Easy access to everything in the historic district.
We had breakfast everyday at the Peninsula. Excellent service and food.
There were many shopping areas to browse through within walking distance.
Everything was absolutely exceptional! Korey and Kathleen at Peninsula Grill made the experience fantastic. Liam checked on us every day and I could not ask for a better experience
We have been wanting to stay at the planters inn for years. It’s a great location and a wonderful inn. We stayed in the Governors suite which was very lovely
The room was wonderfully decorated and large. The staff were courteous and helpful. The location was Ideal and the restaurant food was excellent.
For a older property it well maintained. I get treated very well when staying there....the restaurant is great, atmosphere as well....
