Charleston, 205 Meeting Street (in the centre) 🧭 Map
We did not stay here but will plan on it in the future. We popped in to check out the Christmas festivities and trees. We even got to meet Santa. My photos and videos offer the experience to you. Enjoy!
Always enjoy our stay here and they are wonderful gracious hosts! Very kind and hospitable greetings from all the staff. Very lovely front desk manager Morgan was so sweet to us when we arrived! Felt like family and our room & meals were perfect. Can't wait for our next trip 😀
I was expecting more since the hotel has a 5 star rating. The carpet had stains and the furniture did as well. The customer service was great and the location was ideal as it was right across the street from the market and within walking distance of several attractions. Overall, if you are looking for luxury, I would not suggest this hotel, but if you are looking for a great location, I would suggest...
This hotel is obviously very nice in many ways. Absolutely beautiful building, very upscale shopping and dining, lovely rooms, and wonderful staff. Unfortunately, we are visiting during reconstruction and all day long we have to listen to the sound of heavy construction from our room on the 3rd floor. Hammering, drilling, maybe a jackhammer? It’ll calm down for an hour or so here and there, but basically...
Can't say enough about the staff at Charleston Place. Check-in to check-out everything was fantastic. We stayed on the club level had excellent food and enjoyed the cocktails with Theresa, Arnold and all the other members of the team. I wish i knew their names to recognize all. Old fashioned were top notch! Housekeeping and Alonzo's team were great as well. We took our time each day leaving,...
We felt right at home. We booked a car to a lot of places and each time there was fresh water bottles for us inside. Also, every night they knocked to ask if we needed ice or more water. The abundant free water is a HUGE perk. We also loved the staff who were very friendly and happy to help. the bed was very comfortable and clean and bathroom was very modern and spacious.

We had an outstanding stay in Hotel Bennett: excellent staff - only to mention a few of them: world’s best concierge team with Cassandra, Kevin and Joseph, very nice and helpful service in „Gabrielle“ . We enjoyed our stay a lot and will come back for sure !
We highly recommend the Hotel Bennett. From the moment we pulled up to the hotel we were warmly greeted by bellman Kevin. He made us feel very welcome by giving us a tour of the features of our room. The decor of the hotel is beautiful and very calming. We truly liked every aspect of the hotel. The service is exemplary. We loved getting our coffee and our pasties each morning at the Le Patisserie....
This hotel is amazing. I has the best service from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. The room was so pretty, comfortable and quiet. The bed was so comfortable and had lots of fluffy pillows. The stand alone bathtub was awesome. The lobby is gorgeous. The patisserie has amazing food. My only complaint is that the pool is small. Do not come here for a resort type pool experience. There is not...
We have been to the Rooftop a few times. Each time we were not disappointed. The drinks are amazing and the service was exceptional. I have to give an extra shout out to Cooper. He was there each time we visited and his service and attention was remarkable. We bring my granddaughter with us and he always remembers her and has something to make her feel extra special. Cooper is amazing and such an asset...
Best service in the US. Fantastic food and wine selection in the restaurant.
We stayed this past Sunday to Wednesday. We stayed in a suite with a pull out. We truly loved our room and every person we talked to was so nice. The concierge got us in last minute Monday night (many were closed due to holiday) at a lovely place bistronomy on spring street . Thank you! Most of all the drinks at the rooftop were delicious. Our breakfast at Gabrielle's was excellent and all the valet...

We arrived at the Dewberry later, after a 12 hour drive, and I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else! Right off the bat, valet was attentive, reception was great (tea and towel provided), and provided great recommendations. The room was exceptional! Overall, great stay and I will be coming back
I loved this hotel. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. I appreciated that they prioritize their guests - as a guest you get put at the front of the line for the citrus club. They also have vehicles to drop you off around town and let you borrow a car for 3 hours for free. At the restaurant, all pastries are made to order and come out warm and fresh which was a nice surprise. Spa was also top...
A truly unique and outstanding hotel. I second the comments several others have made about the service - simply second to none. This is what sets the hotel apart from all others. The staff are genuinely a cut above and I can personally attest to the extent they go above and beyond. The design is exquisite, the Citrus Club an unrivalled location for drinks and the spa is sublime. If you are visiting...
Quite simply one of the most exemplary hotels I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The design is exquisite and wonderfully particular to Charleston and the building itself (which is a mid century gem built in 1964). But what really sets the place apart is the service. Warmth and professionalism personified. We had a couple unique requests and they never made us feel like it was anything but an absolute...
Our wonderful experience started the moment we walked in the door! Delaney checked us in and was so kind and welcoming. We were upgraded and absolutely loved it. The rooms are amazing. Dwight and Tyler were great hosts. It was such a hot day and we were taken to the market and dinner that evening. They were so helpful with tips on where to go and what to do. We also had an anniversary and had champagne...
An exceptional oasis in the heart of Charleston. Great service, amenities, food, rooms and amazing staff. We stayed in a king suite, the bed was so comfortable, rooms were so quiet. Stickley furniture! The bathroom was huge with double sinks and an amazing walk in shower. The mini bar has a pull out fridge but there is room for your own water bottles. Two huge LG TVs as well as built in phone chargers...

First night here & one of the best places I've ever stayed. Wasn't sure where to stay for my first visit to Charleston, SC. With free parking, a resort shuttle to historic Charleston, & the availability of the water taxi, this seems like the perfect base to explore the area. If I find that changes, I'll update this review.
We had a fantastic stay! Definitely stay in the Beach House! It is new and clean and decorated gorgeous. The pool is lovely and there are plenty of places to eat and drink. The view from our room of the USS Yorktown was spectacular. We will be back.
The newest building is very nice. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and they have plenty of amenities. There are a couple of different restaurants and two or three bars, including a tiki bar by the largest pool. It is worth mentioning that there are two pools in this particular area, and these are upscale resort worthy. It's definitely the best feature in the whole place. The view from our room...
The rooms were nice and spacious with hardwood flooring. Standard size rooms are plenty big for two people. Everything was clean and service was very friendly. There was a little smell in the hall but nothing annoying. The Beach side of resort seemed nicer and more happening. Pool was great with fire pits. Only one restaurant and bar but food and drinks are good 👍.
This is our favorite destination near Charleston! The property is well maintained. It has everything we need from pools, hot tub, fire pits and a gym. There is a fantastic restaurant on site called The Fish House. The Reel in bar is a fun place to grab a cocktail.  What makes this  place so special is the wonderful guest service. Thank you to the manager Ryan and  Sophie for our beautiful room with...
Sea view room, nice view, the equipment is a little old, but it can be used normally, the bedding is very high-end, free parking, not far from the bridge, strongly recommend everyone to go to the bridge, very close to the aircraft carrier park, 5 minutes walk, there is a free shuttle bus to the ancient town, in short, a good hotel

No detail is spared. Everyone is friendly and says hello. The room was 2x the size we expected and no amenities were spared. In room Cokes, water, sparkling water, La Colombe coffee and snacks are included with your stay! Bathroom was perfect. The mattress, sheets and pillows; all glorious. When we looked for hotels, The Spectator was a slight premium to others. Maybe 10%? Worth every penny...
We had a fantastic experience staying at the Spectator Hotel. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable. We loved the gold chocolate nuggets to enjoy as you enter. The service is top of the line- every staff member was extremely kind and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the food was delicious. All of the special touches- snacks, drinks, turn down service, breakfast, etc made for a wonderful...
My husband and I have visited Spectator every time we visit Charleston. This past trip is our 5th time staying there. We love the level of service and warmth from the front desk, butlers (shout out to David, and Jim) and of course everything that Alan creates at the bar. The location is also amazing because it allows you to walk to everything. Carlo the manager, took care of us before and during our...
This was one of the best stays I’ve ever had, if not the best. They made my wife’s stay very special for her birthday! The staff was very warm and welcoming and made it as special with the requests I made and also went above and beyond that! Shout out Jim and David, thank you! Also the bar was phenomenal, I had one of the best drinks I’ve had in a while, it tasted just like fruity pebbles-so good!...
The spectator hotel should be called “the Spectacular” the facilities are exceptional, the staff makes people feel like good friends and we always leave, with a warm, satisfied feeling. We make “the Spectator” a stop on our semi annual trip, to and from Florida to North Carolina.
Great hotel in a great location! Their service is second to none as well as their attention to detail! We loved the in room breakfast each morning, the Butler service was fantastic and the hotel bar is a great place to finish out each evening! We will be back

Great staff, beautiful room, sensational dinner, yummy breakfast. What more could you want? Oh, yes, it is in Charleston, SC
We had a wonderful time at Wentworth Mansion. We hope to go back soon! The property was absolutely beautiful. The spa was relaxing and cozy and breakfast at Circa 1886 was delicious! Everyone at the hotel was friendly, professional, and helpful. Could not have had a better 5th anniversary! ❤
I absolutely love this place! As a professional wedding photographer in town, the Wentworth Mansion is one of the most picturesque places. Make sure you climb up to the cupola!!!
Amazing stay! I'm not one that usually stays in a place like this but this was a splurge for our vacation. We were amazed by the room(with jacuzzi tub!)and the grandness of it, the extras: tea and lemonade in the afternoon, wine and hors d'oeuvres at 5, pastries in the sunroom in the am, and amazing complimentary cook to order breakfast, and the helpfulness of the staff. Don't forget to go up to the...
Stopped by bc we were interested in a room and wanted to look around. Beautiful place but palpable air of snobbery
Beautiful setting and excellent food. A bit pricey but still worth the experience.

The check-in was straightforward the staff were really helpful. The apartment was very clean and tidy and in a good location, near bars, and the sights. The kitchen was well-equipped, and it was nice to receive a welcome bottle of wine. There was good wifi access, and the smart TV was also welcomed. The beds including the sofa bed were comfortable. And there was a good size bathroom. And even though...
