Studio 6 Suites Greenville, SC - Haywood Mall in Greenville

We needed a room with a full kitchen as our purpose to be in Greenville was going to take a week or more. First, no elevators! No entrance stairway, just the emergency exit stairways at both ends and an old, narrow, steep staircase at the center. My poor friend made 6+ trips up and down the stairs to get all our luggage and purchases into out 3rd story room. THIS HOTEL IS NOT HANDICAP FRIENDLY. Then the biggest aggregience no pots, pans, utensils, or dishes. We had to spend $60 extra dollars at WalMart for pots, pans, dishes, cleaning "stuff". You have to take out your own trash and travel down the steep, narrow stairway to exchange towels and bedding at front desk. Not much staff, so a bit of waiting. Our contact person here was Debra, she busted her hiney to accomodate us!!! She's worth five stars. This Extended Stay is being or has been bought out by Motel 6. (I'll let you draw your own conclusions)
The rooms are nice. Great size, bed comfortable, clean. My friend is so tiny she slept on the couch and didn't use the pull out. But said couch was comfy and got a good nights sleep. Kitchen is roomy, good storage, full size refrigerator, stove and oven. The kitchen needed a bit of cleaning. This is the first full day here, so we will see how it goes, will post update at end of stay.
UPDATE:
Our end if stay came 2 days early. We had a third visitor to our room, a roach. At least 1 inch long roach. Yeah, uh huh, enough said.
People leaving bags of trash at landings in the stairwells so they didn't have to take them out to the dumpster themselves. Enough said.
Constant smell of marijuana in the stairwells and on the floors. At a non smoking facility. It was the worst however, in the lobby desk around 5pm, when we were trying to book it out of there. I'm just saying.... Enough said.
I moved my stars down to 2 overall and service to a 1, as they kept trying to bill me for a pre paid room AND did not return my deposit. Of course, no refund for the 2 nights we left early. But we knew that would probably happen.

Not for anyone that has trouble walking or climbing stairs. Around the bed had a bad odor like dirty feet. Will say it appeared clean. The inside of the place looked nothing like they advertised online. It's like they're using pictures from a time when it was a nice place. One soap bar anything else you needed they might have available for a price. No I would not stay there again.

They did not have any wash clothes, silverware nor plates. The microwave only works on 30 second intervals. Only one out of the 4 burners works, ironically the smallest 1! It is filthy and not as advertised. The price is definately not worth what you pay.
When you look at the stock photos online it shows a small gym which is non existant. They say it is a nonsmoking facility and people smoke all over the place. It's a step above a slum . We felt the need to spray the Room down with bug spray it was so dirty And used an entire tub of Clorox wipes.
The toilet paper holder fell off the wall and the shower is funky as well. Lastly the toilet is ready to fall off the post And has not been properly mounted.

Be very careful with the credit or debit cards you provide to these people because they are kept on file. They will generate unauthorized transactions on them. Also, when cleaning up the room, the sheets are draped on the floor before putting them on you the bed & that is unsanitary. I even witnessed the clean up crew drop the towels on the floor in the common hallway & place them back on the cart to replace in the guest rooms. They offer breakfast but that's only if they have not run out of their inventory. Lastly, be prepared to buy your own toilet paper because they run out of that as well. NEVER AGAIN!

The worst motel experience in my life. Food on floor, dirty shower, literally the midst uncomfortable bed I've ever laid on, pull out couch is a JOKE. I wouldn't let my dog lay on it - bars and springs supporting a thin, dirty mat. It had blood stains amongst other who knows what on it. AC didn't work, and forced my elderly parents to move to another room in the middle of the night. Trash came at 6am, loud as hell. Desk people were nice, manager was argumentative but pleasant. Not enough to make up for a horrible night. Definitely not ever staying at any Extended Stay again. I couldn't even sleep.
