Knoxville, 501 East Hill Avenue (in the centre) 🧭 Map
It's under renovations and an older property, was one of the first hotels built with a modular design where they brought in concrete sections stacking them like Legos. I believe was to be in time for the world fair years back. When they are finished, will be very nice. They put me in one of the updated rooms and very large and modern. This is a very easy walk to downtown and hotel has free parking...
I went here for a workshop. The lobby is awesome. I know they are in the middle of construction but I really hope they leave the floors raw looking like they are now. The staff at the front desk was really nice and accommodating. the rooms were well taken care of and clean. It's also very close to downtown so if you are coming in for a visit this is a nice place to go where you can be in walking distance...
it’s obvious that the hotel is improving. The rooms are a good size but as many people mentioned, everything is tired and dated. The rooms are so dark that you’ll likely have one of the best night’s sleep you’ve ever had. And in the end, it’s just a hotel. Isn’t a good night’s sleep all that really matters? Plus, the king sized bed was wonderful, sheets were fresh and clean, the towels soft and oversized...
This place is an interesting piece of architecture and the staff are good, but it needs a major overhaul. Price per nite is hardly justifiable. Water stains in the ceiling can be seen in the lobby and while riding up the elevators. In the room, wallpaper is peeling in the bathroom and the whole room simply seems dated. Fabulous views though! Most rooms are on the river side, but there are 3 floors...
Entire hotel was freezing. Employee's at front desk were friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back here if I was in the area. Rooms were clean.
I didn't stay here, but I went to a work event hosted in the ballroom, and the setting, staff and feel of the place was great. The lobby is beautiful and welcoming. I have no need to stay here, living in town, but I'm sure it's cool to stay in.

Rick was extremely helpful in allowing us to edit our reservations after making a mistake and mis booking our trip. Very kind and helpful front desk staff.
Rooms were very nice but not as large as we had expected. Beds were only double beds, we preferred queen or king but, overall we loved it. We would stay again
The property is a little tired but housekeeping and the front of house service was great. They provided a small welcome bag with a bottle of water and a little snack which many properties have stopped doing. Everything in the room worked but could use a refresh. If you need to be in West Knoxville the location is great also. In today's hotel offerings I think it's a miss to not provide free breakfast...
Hotel is fine. Rooms updated but some outlets did not work. No breakfast included. Windows are thin and I-40 noise is loud. Bring ear plugs to sleep. Double beds are very small. Only stayed 2 nights but would not stay here again.
Needs updating Needs updating. Was fine for 1 night but really needs some upgrades.
Quick trip to Rocky Top. All was good except for the comfort of the bed and pillows. I'm not very picky, but the beds are not comfortable and pillows were minimally useful.

I have never stayed in the Microtels They are my new favorite. Great staff and comfortable rooms. I have truly never slept well in Motels. I had a great night's sleep woke up refreshed and rested.
Great experience! Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful, free breakfast was delicious and the hotel was easily assessable. Would defiantly recommend and stay again.
This was an older Microtel. Front Desk man Mr. Patel was the plus for our stay! Very nice and answered any questions we had! Breakfast was mediocre at best not very hot or stocked very well.
My wife and I needed a cheap place to stay and this was it. We got a Groupon so we got a great deal but even without it it's a reasonable price. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was old and a little run down but not as bad as we expected for the price. Several outlets in the room didn't work, but we made due. It could probably use a good deep cleaning, but I would have no problem staying...
Can't complain too much for those rates. But the place had noticeably deteriorated in the 4-5 years since my last visit. The staff is fairly friendly, it's just run-down & a bit dingy. There was also an ongoing incident with guests across the hall- kept being awakened by some kind of alarm & general loudness/commotion (not quite genuine fighting or slamming of doors-but blatant disregard for anyone...
Our stay was wonderful, we had a double room which was rather spacious. The rooms were decorated well and included plenty of storage. Staff was friendly as well although the breakfast could have been better. I would definitely stay again.

Nonsmoking room was clearly used for smoking with cigarette burns in the bedding as proof. Not well cleaned, soap left in shower. Service not very friendly, doors locked indicating not the best area. Cheap hotel with no cable
The stay was average..front desk gentleman was rude as hell!
Much better than the Lovell road location. Better price cleaner no roaches bigger beds. Quiet. Air conditioner in our room needed looked at...on as cold as it could go it was still not cool enough. And the WI-fi actually works.
No WiFi even though it said there is free WiFi. Leaking sink.
Great little place to stay. Found the accommodations to be exceptionally clean, even the coffee pot, microwave, fridge. No bed bugs and clean mattress covers and other linens. Gloria the maid was hard working and very eager to help. Limited but ample continental breakfast. Morning clerk very friendly and professional. Second shift clerk doesn't have the proper tools for his duties. No elevator, no...
I love this hotel. I've stayed twice and the people here are always helpful and accommodating

great location, very clean, secure parking, pool is spot on
I stayed here for a week and enjoyed my stay. I was with my son and his family. The hotel as well as our room were very clean. The location was great for us. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My only reason for not 5 stars is it would be awesome if the hot tub were in working order. The pool felt great. Very nice temperature. They serve complimentary coffee in the bar counter in the lobby....
This hotel is absolutely beautiful! Everything is so clean and polished. We had an Executive King Room and the bed was so comfy. Our breakfast was also yummy. We have 2 more nights here but we will absolutely stay here again when we're in the area.
Very clean, comfortable rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located right downtown with a lot of restaurants, shopping and other activities.. Most within walking distance. Once we parked, we could walk to almost anything we wanted to do. They do have a parking garage, but with a business conference and other receptions, etc happening at once it fills up fast.. That was the...
This is an EXCELLENT hotel! The lobby and room were very clean and well-maintained, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the location is perfect for walking anywhere downtown. There are a ton of restaurants within a 5-minute walk. The parking garage was easy to access and felt safe, but it is on the smaller side. 10/10 recommend for business travelers or vacationers!
Really enjoyed staying here! Came with a friend overnight from Chicago. We wanted to see what Downtown Knoxville had to offer. We weren’t disappointed! The hotel itself was very nice, and our room had a GREAT view. Everything was clean and well maintained and the staff was friendly! There is an upstairs restaurant and lounge area and breakfast is available for an extra but nominal fee. There’s also...

Everything was wonderful, staff was very nice, room was exceptionally clean, I wish the pool would be open all night, I wasn't able to use it because I had an event during the day and got back when it was closed. Nocturnal people would appreciate being able to exercise and exhaust some energy before they sleep.
I was able to check in easily and room was convenient. We had a nice breakfast. The one thing I noticed was that the carpet on the steps going up to breakfast needed to be cleaned or replaced. Would stay there again if in the area.
The room had a slight odor but we got used to it. We liked the room location. It was fine for a one-night stay.
It was ok for a overnight stay while travelling but the room had a stale smell of something to it
Wish they would turn the lights off on the inside area during night hours
The staff was great. Friendly and helpful. The room could have been cleaner. The bed was comfortable but the couch in the room was worn. The hand towels were a bit dingy. The shower was not for anyone over 5'6". We stayed for one night, and overall it was a decent stay.

I never received my deposit back. The neighboring which said private has very loud people outside of my room for multiple nights of my stay. The advertised “gym” area was closed and the washer and dryers were out of service.
If you are looking for a no frills place that is clean with a good mattress and a great price this motel is a good option.
Not particularly friendly. Morning staff especially. Renovations made to property but sloppily done, no attention to detail. Need to tape when you paint.
Great stay and budget friendly. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff. Will stay here again when we are back in town.
We got there and easily checked in. Room was clean mattresses were comfortable but room needed some updates.
convenience to univ of tn and dislike: the dead bolt did not work and i needed another blanket and could not get one. So, i slept in 2 prs of pjs with socks. linens were locked up and night clerk had no key.

Cheapest place in Knoxville It was a normal Days inn experience, just needed a place to stay the night after a concert.
Had a medical procedure. Asked for late checkout on Wed. Around noon. Made sure 3 times, they said ok. We got back at 11:30 and already cleaned. We had taken our stuff out except for refrigerator. It was gone. Dinner from Carrabbas. and a beer. Also moved a tote bag from floor to bed on last morning. A beetle came from below it and ran across the bed. Husband killed it. Loose tiles on bathroom...
Not satisfied Was told I couldn't get coffee 'All Day'. Had a wonderful lady, by the name of Wanda, who let me know coffee was allowed all day! The owner was contacted and it was addressed. The next time trying to get coffee the lobby door was locked. We also asked if we could have a late check out. From 11: a.m. to 1:p.m. We were told $10 extra would be sufficient. Wanda made a special trip to our...
I needed a place to sack out overnight, and that is what this is. Rooms are what you get in a motel. Nice crisp sheets, though. Clean tub and shower. TV worked. Breakfast buffet room is coffee, juice, and granola bar or honey bun, fresh apples. Entirely functional. Staff is not friendly, but polite enough.
Stay was alright besides the pest lingering dead and crawling
Actually we had a good stay here. I was skeptical at first but we ended up staying 3 days and a couple of weeks later we came back through and stayed 2 more nights. "work related" our room was nice and it was clean.the lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful.the A/C worked great. Cracker Barrel is right next to the motel as well as shopping convenience across the road .I would stay there again

Front desk lady Ms.Jessica was very nice, helpful and knowable.Gave me good information and clear direction about Knoxville areas. Rooms were clean, comfortable . We requested for two rooms near and we got them both side by side that was really excellent service .
staff was amazing. very clean overall. close to everything and the owner is an awesome guy
Probably won't stay there again The woman that checked us in was very nice. She had to deal with some people near our room that ended up needing to be handled by the Sherriff's deputies. Fairly quite during the night. Bed was comfortable. Linens on the bed had cigarette(?) burns. Carpet has seen better days, so not sure how clean it was. Free Breakfast was very disappointing-only cereal, white or wheat...
We called them, we had no reservation. The young woman who answered the phone was so kind, she welcomed us and got us checked in quickly. The building is old, but the room was very clean. Plenty of towels, comfortable beds, clean floors. The property manager was also there, he was kind and quick to thank us for staying when he saw us the next morning.
The owner is a very nice and understanding person. He helps out as much as he can while still being professional and managing his business. The front desk worker is sweet and is as much of a help as the owner. The location is great and the housekeeper and maintenance man work hard around the clock to do what needs to be done. This is the best hotel I have come across and would recommend it to everyone...
The room was clean and in good order. The air conditioner worked, and there was a microwave and good-sized flat screen TV in the room. I believe that every room is arranged so that there is an open Gideon Bible in each room to see to your spiritual well-being. The breakfast was continental, which means there are various breads and pastries, along with a waffle maker. The coffee is okay, though the...

This is my 3 rd night here and second room in . Just a normal hotel, didn't find anything bad . Didn't like the shower adjustment but it's good if you accurately turn it on 😆. Looks good got king size no smoking and they're a great place to relax stretch and sleep
I DoorDash 12-14 hours a day Friday-Sunday. This was my first time renting a hotel and was the cheapest for the night. Stayed here Saturday night to avoid an hour trip home and then an hour trip back. Super glad I made the choice to stay here. Allowed me to get more sleep and everything was comfy and I slept like a baby. I'll definitely be coming back
Very inexpensive. Breakfast was very limited, almost non-existent. Staff was friendly.
Baymont was very rude we are from AR having to spend three nights a spur of moment. Come to Scottish Inn A gentlemen seen we were worn out and upset about Baymont. His name was Michael very compassionate and set us up speedily for the weekend. Our room was clean breakfast bar amazing we enjoyed our three nights with Scottish Inn. I will stay here again
Nice if you are needing a roof over your head. Cheapest room in the area. The walls are paper thin so you will hear loud neighbors and the sheets and comforter and edge of the tub have cigarette burns. They have free breakfast though in the morning and is more than sufficient for a cheap roof over your head.

First time visiting. Need a tour guide, honestly! Hopefully someone who familiar will lend a hand or two!
The room was clean and tidy.. and for the neighborhood it wasn't really noisy and busy like one would think.
Was very shocked on how much nicer the rooms turned out to be. For the price you can beat it. The only thing that we can complain on is the wifi. It only worked half of the day I don't know if they turned it off or what but it was very annoying.
No bed bugs in the few rooms I've stayed in. I always bring my own sheets and towels to any motel, but that's just me. This place leaves much to desire although It's really not bad when you just need a cheap place to crash for the night. Especially compared to the others in the area.
Look it's a cheap place to stay, don't expect much for the location. And leave a bad review!!! I'm glad it was here because of my bus delay, is not far from Greyhound station and Lyft is best for short trips over taxi's... I didn't see any bugs but place really needed a fresh coat of paint to cover what ever all the stains are??? The smell in here when I 1st arrived makes me think I can't pass a drug...
The managers and there family are very nice and outspoken and the rooms are very clean from the bottom up
