Sangzor Boutique Hotel in Samarkand

The hotel is amazing, room is clean, breakfast is delicious. the staffs at the front desk especially whose name is Diyorbek are very friendly and helpful. Our suitcase is damaged and they helped us do the repair.

Right in the heart of Samarkand's tourist area, we could walk to Registan Square and other sights very quickly, which made sightseeing really comfortable. If you're staying multiple nights, being able to pop back to the hotel for a break during the day is a huge plus. The room was spacious, and the fantastic breakfast was also a highlight.

Room is clean and spacious. Also near to attractions as the mosque and within a short walking distance from Registan Square.

Great location, just a five-minute walk to the Bibi-Khanym Mosque and the bazaar. However, since it's on a pedestrian street, cars can't drive directly to the hotel. You'll need to walk about 500 meters from the squares on either side. (The nearby bazaar is huge, great for souvenirs, remember to bargain! 🙏)

The hotel itself is quite new. The room interior is decent, nothing spectacular but clean and tidy, which is good enough. You can see part of Bibi-Khanym's blue domes from the hotel window.

Breakfast was okay, served in the basement.

We had a great stay at Sangzor Hotel. The room was spacious, and the bed, linens, and pillows were very comfortable. They also allowed early check-in.

Breakfast was amazing—especially the fresh fruits. The hotel offers luggage storage as well.

The location is perfect: just a 2-minute walk to Registan Square, Bibi-Khanym, and Siyob Bazaar, with plenty of nearby stores.

The road in front of the hotel isn’t passable by car, but you can easily walk through a small alley at the back—only about a minute.

The hotel has a classic decor and a good size. Its main advantage is the excellent location, close to all the major attractions. The front desk staff were also very elegant and polite, and the price was reasonable.

On my last day of independent travel in Samarkand, I had an 8 AM train, so I wouldn't be able to make breakfast. I informed the front desk in advance to prepare the check-in certificate (the small slip of paper) for me in the morning. This is a Uzbekistan regulation; if you've been traveling here for more than three days, border control might randomly check your accommodation certificates from hotels and guesthouses when you exit the country. They also prepared a packed meal for me. The staff member on duty in the morning quickly sorted everything out. Since this hotel is located on a pedestrian street, arriving and departing by ride-sharing service requires going to a spot not far diagonally across from the hotel, then passing through a small gate to a back street to pinpoint the pick-up/drop-off location. For arrivals, contact the hotel beforehand, and they will email you the details. For departures, some ride-sharing drivers might get confused and have trouble finding the spot. It's usually not a big deal, but when we left in the morning, it happened twice, and we almost had to ask the front desk staff to call a car for us.

We had a lovely stay at Sangzor Boutique Hotel during our time in Samarkand. The hotel has a beautiful blend of traditional Uzbek charm with modern comfort. It’s thoughtfully decorated, and the overall ambiance feels cozy and authentic.

The location is excellent, within walking distance of major sights like Registan Square, yet nicely tucked away from the busy streets, offering a peaceful environment to relax.

Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were warm, helpful, and always made sure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality truly made the stay special.

The only area for improvement is the breakfast, while it was fresh and well-prepared, the options were quite limited. A bit more variety would enhance the overall experience.

Still, for the price and the quality of service, Sangzor Boutique Hotel is a great choice for anyone visiting Samarkand.
