Safarov's Family Hostel in Tashkent

I stayed at Safarov for 2 nights before flying back home and honestly it was perfect. Super clean, super warm and helpful staff. Away from the city bustle but close enough to hop into a taxi or bus and be at the center in 10 minutes.
The area is actually quite unique with a brilliant chinese restaurant right downstairs and a church around the corner.

Highly recommended!

This hostel is exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and equipped with great facilities. It’s in a very convenient location—just a 500-meter walk from the bus station. The staff are incredibly helpful, and I also met some great people during my stay. A fantastic place overall!

Safarov's Family Hostel is the only luxury hostel I have lived in. It has enormous reception, spacious rooms ans bathrooms. Sheets and towels are changed everyday. I havent seen anything like this anywhere. Ibrohim and Mukaddas are two kindest souls I have met. They helped me with everything - getting a local SIM because YandexGo doesnt work otherwise, recommended the best places to eat. Got me breakfast early before I leave for Samarkand. On my second coming, they upgraded me to a family room, which is like a 4 star hotel room. So, if you want some privacy, you can have it here as well. This is the best hostel I have lived in. You gotta be here!

Stayed for a couple of days in July 2025 or so. I think this is one of the best hostels I stayed in a while, and not exclusively in Uzbekistan. Its owner does a good job drawing from his own travel experiences. Every area/room is so clean, one can forget we're speaking about hostel here. It's spacious, clean again and spacious showers, and main hall, and a room for work/study, and a spacious kitchen with 24/7 boiled water in case one needs, two balconies, etc. From my perspective, I'd appreciate it if beds were more sturdy and less shaky. Maybe give more storage room for a bigger luggage, although one can keep the most necessary by a side in a locker, and the rest at a storage outside the room. I remember one time there was this professionally trained cellist playing live in the main hall for everyone for free, it was surprising and amazing. I wanted to stay for a couple of days more before leaving Uzbekistan, although I couldn't. Hopefully, some time next I'll definitely come again. The place gave me good feelings overall🙌

As far as hostels go, this place is definitely one of the best I've stayed in.

Big rooms and clean common areas. Staff are always on duty around the clock and the front desk staff speak good English.

There is a dedicated co-working room for digital nomads.

The location is about 20 minutes taxi from the city centre via YandexGo.

The biggest negative is the cheap spring bed. A hostel with this many paying customers can afford better ones. You can kind of feel the metal springs when you lie down to sleep.

I found the included breakfast a little disappointing and the portions compared to other hostels I stayed in throughout Uzbekistan. This is not a huge complaint however.

The shower room is a little dirty. Mold on the silicone joints the curtains are covered in it. These are very cheap and easy things to replace but make the biggest difference visually.

Overall, this is a very good hostel and I'd return.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The hostel was clean and modern with good facilities. Highly recommend to any travellers staying in Tashkent!

The location wasn't bad and the staff were very nice.
However, I had a hard time not knowing that I had made a reservation through Trip.com.
And we were taken aback by the sudden power outage, and action was taken quickly.
It was resolved quickly. I plan to use it again next time.
