Ninh Binh Retreat in Thanh Pho Ninh Binh

Beautiful location in the paddy fields, on a quiet lane but with easy access to lots of good tourist attractions. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful. The rooms are big with good hardwood furnishings and marble floors. Big well fitted shower/bathrooms. There are many home stay/small hotels in the area but I think this is the most attractive and I think it must be the friendliest. Breakfasts and optional dinners are freshly prepared from local products, and often from the family garden and chickens. We stayed 3 nights and very much enjoyed it. I recommend this place very strongly.

Without a doubt THE BEST location in ninh binh if you are looking for peace and quiet with incredible views! Also offers a great central location with easy moto rental, beautiful pool and unreal scenery tucked into the mountains surrounded by lotus flower fields. The family is incredibly hospitable and all the food is delicious. I hope to be lucky enough to return soon.

The best homestay in Ninh Bình by far!!! The bungalows are super clean, with all amenities, even an electric blanket if it is a cold day. The host is super nice and greeted us with tea and a map of the area with the main things to visit. The place is extremely beautiful in the middle of rice fields! They rent bikes too which makes it super easy to visit the important boat rides and temples. The food was also the best we had in the area. We ended up eating there 3 times out of 4! Will definitely be back!

I had a wonderful stay here at the Panorama Homestay. I ended up staying longer because it was just so incredibly peaceful and out of the hustle and bustle of town. There were cows and egrets and farmers in the rice fields and karsts nestled in autumn fog. The best part was the heated bed in my bamboo hut! A decadent but welcome touch for the chilly nights. Will definitely be back!!

We arrived at sunset, the golden glow accentuating the beautiful panorama. Getting there was a bit of an adventure but one well worth it. We rented a motorbike and the last bit is on a small rocky road they made special to access the homestay. For those not comfortable riding for themselves your hosts can pick you up. The homestay is held by two lovely sisters that decided to leave the city to come live in this haven of peace. In the main bungalow/building they keep a restaurant, the girls (and husband!) cook some delicious meals, I recommend the coconut chicken and tamarind beef. They have free WIFI. There are only a handful of bungalows and two rooms so it stays nice and quiet. We stayed one night in a room and one in a bungalow. The room is very decent, the bathroom shared and they have hammocks outside for some extensive stargazing. The bungalow is well worth paying extra. The bungalows are well built and you have the possibility to privatize your terrace so you can relax without the view of others. Unfortunately for us it started raining heavily after a boat ride at the Van Long nature reserve so we headed back, where we enjoyed Ninh Binh's beauty but on a sheltered bungalow terrace at the Panorama Homestay !
