This hotel was so lovely, from the terras of the restaurant you have a beautiful view of the river and the mountains, the family who runs it was incredibly friendly and helpful and the wooden bungalows are so charming with the round ceilings and bamboo furniture. Aside from their delicious menu, they also offer "family dinner" which means you dine with the family, eating traditional home style Vietnamese food, the same food they cook for themselves every day and it's beyond delightful. They truly make you feel at home.

Tam Coc Bungalow was my first stop after arriving in Vietnam from a busy business trip in Hong Kong, and it was exactly what I needed to unwind. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming — a genuine pleasure to interact with. The meals were hearty and authentic, and the location couldn’t have been better as an introduction to the country. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough; if you get the chance, definitely check it out.

Amazing location -- near the bustle and nightlife of Tam Coc, but secluded on the other side of the lake (5 min walk) so that you feel out in nature, which is the whole reason you came to Tam Coc anyway right? Coupled with amazing food and a beautiful patio view of the river, where paddle boats are constantly floating by ... a perfect match of idyllic and convenient. Rent a bike from the front desk to explore the rest of the area!

Very friendly staff and we also liked the location. The breakfast was delicious, they even had omelets and waffles! I would recommend a bungalow with a view of the river—ours was by the pool, which can be a bit noisy. The bungalow was a bit outdated, especially the bathroom, which is in urgent need of renovation.

We had an amazing experience at Fairy Mountain Retreat. The atmosphere was peaceful, the views were breathtaking, and the hospitality was truly exceptional.
A special thanks to Lucas, who was an outstanding host. He spoke excellent English, making communication easy and comfortable. Lucas was always helpful, friendly, and attentive to every detail to ensure our stay was perfect.
I also want to highlight Huey, the incredibly talented chef. Every meal he prepared was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of authentic flavor. Dining here was truly a highlight of the entire trip.
Fairy Mountain Retreat is the perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, and be treated with warm hospitality. Highly recommended, especially thanks to Lucas and Chef Huey for making our stay unforgettable!

Very good accomodation. Enjoyed the overnight stay here at Tham Hotel. Helpful owners and hospitable. Good service througout our stay. Once we go back, we will definitely choose this hotel again. Thank you for making our stay safe and special.

We stayed here overnight and the service was great. It was 40 degrees outside but the rooms are well equipped to keep you cool. The staff were super helpful. The hotel allows you to rent bikes and bicycles as well. The pool was excellent as well!

Too expensive for what it was. Out of water after 10min in a family room (where 4 people should be able to shower). Motorbikes were very very old, we were afraid they would die in the middle of our trip. People were friendly and breakfast was a buffet so nice, that's why I gave 2 stars.

We love this hotel, its just along the river for Tam Coc boat ride. The hotel/ room is next to the river n mountain, very scenic. They have variety of Vietnamese n Western food, burger, french fries, pizza, steamboat, etc. I love bird watching and spotted few nice birds here. The staff are very friendly in arranging driver for our tour to Bai Dinh Pagoda, Hoa Lu ancient city, Thung Nham Bird Park. We want to return here one day soon.

The staff is not very well-versed in english. However, the lady boss speaks quite fluent chinese as she worked in Taiwan before. We mainly communicated through her. The atmosphere is really nice - the beautiful pool is just right outside our accoms. We only stayed for one night. We had some troubles initially, the toilet shower drain was stuck and they helped to check immediately. However, as it takes quite long to fix, they recommended us to shift to the next room instead. There is still similar problems in the new room and they checked and resolved. The drainage is slow and takes time to drain all water out - so it can be a bit 'floody' after shower.
The lady boss is really friendly and recommended us places to visit on a bicycle - they rent bicycles for free for people staying in their homestay.
Their location is near the lake, we can cycle along the lake to the main street easily. The bicycle provided is without gear, need to manage expectations and do check if the seat can be adjustable. Some are stuck and faulty. The male staff is really helpful and helped us adjust, so just ask the staff for help!
Note, the car could not drive all the way in and dropped us at a bridge, we had to walk about 5-7 mins with our luggage through small alleys before reaching the accomodation.
Overall, though with the hiccups, it was still an enjoyable stay.
