Hai Phuong Hotel in Hue

The room is terrible. The staff is even worse. The price maybe good but don't ruin your trip by this place. My family feel regret to stay here in our first day of the trip.

The guesthouse we originally booked had double booked and there was no space so we were brought here. The only reason we stayed was because it was late. The room smelled damp, there was mold on the walls, it was dirty. The 'bathroom' if you could even call it that was a boxed off area in the room with no ventilation and the shower sprays over the sink so you can't even have a proper shower, no towels were provided. I've stayed always in budget accommodation but this is beyond a joke.. a bit of hygiene goes a long way!

We have been travelling in Asia for more than a month now and haven't been to demanding concerning accommodations, but this was really the worst place ever. We booked a deluxe room with a King size bed on Agoda. Once we arrrived at the hotel, the manager first didn't pay attention to us as he was surfing on Facebook and chatting. Then finally we could tell him we had a reservation but he didn't seem to have a registration. He just asked us how much we were supposed to pay and then give us a price in dongs much higher than it is in dollars. So we disagreed and finally paid the room for it actual price (7 dollars, 150'000 dongs). Then we went up to the room and realised it is not what we booked. No King size bed and some other stuff missing that were in the description on Agoda. So we went downstairs. Again he doesn't pay attention first but i finally got him to change our room which still wasn't what we paid for but at least there was two beds.
We were used to have not very clean room but this was actually not dirty but unsanitary and obviously the bed sheets haven't been change for a long time.
Anyway we went out for dinner and when we came back late at night we realised that the air conditionner does not work so we went down again and he just gave us another remote but it was still not working so he had to come upstairs to look and seemed very upset about it. As we were also kind of pissed because of him we told him we want another room with a functional air con and a part of our money back as we didn't get what we paid for and that there was obviously no deluxe room. He got really mad and even shout at us. I really thought he could become violent which was really scary (we are two girls). But finally he put us in our first room and gave us 50'000 dongs back.
The Day after i realise i forgot something in the other room but the people present this morning couldnt understand a thing i was saying.
I do not recommand this place ! You can find much better

Rooms are not very clean. But it's very cheap.
If you are on a budget and don't mind the dirt, you can book a room
