ATC Resort, Con Dao(Khu nghỉ dưỡng ATC Côn Đảo) in Con Dao Islands

After almost six weeks traveling through Vietnam, we spent five nights here as a family and this island quickly became one of the highlights of our entire trip.

Con Dao feels different from many other places in Vietnam. It still feels like a hidden gem. Life moves a bit slower here, everything feels calm, very clean and not hectic or loud.

The Secret Con Dao was a wonderful place to stay. The hotel is very clean, the staff is kind and welcoming, and the pool is amazing with a direct view over the ocean.

Everything is close by. We enjoyed walking to the night market for local food, learning about the history of the island and spending time at the beautiful beaches nearby.

The Secret Restaurant is excellent too and the Sunset Lounge is the perfect place in the evening. We watched some of the most beautiful sunsets there.

“The Secret” may be the name of the hotel, but in many ways Con Dao itself still feels like the real secret.

If you are like me and you are wondering which hotel book for your Con Dao vacations, you should book this one. I stayed at Orson Hotel (in the south of the island, same price range)for 3 days before checking out early due to the terrible service and the horrible cleanliness. At Secret Resort, as soon as you enter the hotel, you can feel the luxury atmosphere and the caring staff. The restaurant had reasonable prices and was very good. Good location and awesome pool. I regret not staying there for my vacations.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and honestly felt like we made a great choice. Check-in was smooth and easy, the room was comfortable and nicely designed, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The facilities were great , a lovely swimming pool, a good restaurant, and a cozy café that was perfect for a relaxed break during the day. One of the highlights was the bar on the top floor, the sunset lounge. Watching the sunset from there was beautiful, and the happy hour from 5–7 pm made it even better. What we really appreciated was how calm and relaxing the hotel felt, even though it’s located in town. Everything was close by, attractions, restaurants, and cafés, so getting around was very easy. The airport pick-up and drop-off service was also well organized and made our arrival and departure completely stress-free. Overall, a peaceful, comfortable stay with great service. We would happily come back.

The Secret is located in the absolute best position in Con Dao town. It’s 1 minute walk to a lovely sandy beach, a short walk to the markets and a multitude of cafes and restaurants. Cocktails at the rooftop bar were lovely with 2 for 1 during happy hour every afternoon/evening. The hotel dining was also great, we particularly enjoyed the charcoal 4 cheese pizza (Napoli style thin crust, even better with a drizzle of the local honey they serve it with) and the breakfast buffet was a fabulous selection of western and Asian breakfast favorites. The very best thing about our stay was the outstanding service given to us by Sang. She served our table for our first night at The Secret (and our first but not last pizza) and was both professional and super friendly. Then every morning we saw her, she greeted us with the warmest smile and made us feel so welcome. Thank you Sang :)

We had a pleasant time. It was a busy time of year.

The hotel was very nice. Rooms were spacious. The buffet was plentiful and had good selection.

Staff seemed to be attentive and was quick to remedy setbacks.

Hoang was very helpful with our questions and concerns.

Positives: location was very close to town center and clean beach.

Suggestion: 1) bring crispy and new 100 USD for exchange and 2) if from USA, you need to get an international drivers license before your trip to rent a scooter.

First of all, great staff. They seem to enjoy their work and they are devoted to customer service. Some rare times not the most efficient, but rare times and overall very dedicated.
Second, the architecture, design of the hotel are really nice.
Food is decent.
Rooms are decent with a few glitches. Sometimes a bit noisy, but this is more due to the guests.

Excellent hotel. I stayed here for 6 days. The pool is great, not too busy and overlooks the water. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Room is nice and daily housekeeping was on point. I would stay here again the next time I come to the island and highly recommend this hotel!

2st time in my experience here. First time was perfectly and 2st time has problem with Wifi not working inside my room but the manager nicely. They changed the room for me at the second night. Thing I don't feel good that the bar on top floor have DJ play music loud. I enjoyed the bar before but now no more, basically my feeling that DJ play not really good that why my feeling more loud 😅
