S79 Happy Hotel in Ho Chi Minh

We booked this hotel again because of its location near the night market. Despite a confirmed booking reservation, we were refused check in at the reception and got offered to another hotel of the same brand three kilometers away because this one was overbooked.

As if that was not bad enough, we later received an email claiming our credit card was invalid and asking for an update. This is not credible at all and clearly feels like an attempt to shift responsibility after denying us accommodation.

Completely unprofessional behavior. One star.

Booked and paid or the city view deluxe room via Agoda for the Independence day vacation for 2 nights. Arrived for check in at 11 PM, they said the room I booked for no longer available and gave me another room which is smaller, cheaper and without window, I immediately realized it's a room for couple to do quick intercourse with the curly chair in the middle of the room. I called Agoda agents to report the issue but this is the worst part, Agoda agents sided with this fraud hotel, said they had right to give me whatever room they have because the hotel check in time is from 5-7 PM and I checked in late at 11 PM. How the hell there is a hotel on this planet only have 2 hours opening for guests to check in? And there's nothing like that was mentioned in the booking that Agoda sent me. And why I can't get a refund when the hotel already committed fraud, they committed it, that they gave me a cheaper and smaller room and claimed that they can do it, and Agoda did nothing to react, even though I paid my money to Agoda. And after hundreds of calls, I can only get a partial refund, 1 night refund and I have to stay for the first night, but on my booking on Agoda, my booking was canceled completely, both 2 nights when technically they can only cancel 1 night. So I instantly realized these people were working together to prevent me from having stay record so I could not give bad review on Agoda to alert other fellow travelers. It was the worst day of my life and I have to deal with the worst people I've ever seen. I couldn't stay at this filthy room they gave me because it was small and no window, so at 2 AM in the morning, tired and hungry after a long flight to Ho Chi Minh city, I still couldn't get to rest my self but got out of the street to look for another hotel to stay.

The is horrible hotel. They allow hourly rental. There are guests check in 2 am and bring music and maybe ***** into room turned super loud for party. They party until 5am. I did call receptionist complaint few times, he can’t do anything with it. Will not recommend for family stay.

Staff was not nice, came inside to check in but they couldn’t find my reservation. So they had to take my id and gave me a room because they could not find my booking. Room was not clean. No hand soap. Not a great stay.

The room smells moldy and toilet is clogged. Requested for an upgrade, they didn't offer it for free or gave a complimentary. Deluxe Room's AC is not cold enough. The room is too hot even with an 18°C AC temperature. The AC has a small hp for the room. Asked for a refund, the owner pretended she didn't know we paid for the upgrade. The elevator is not well-maintained.

Booked Superior. The room is small, moldy, and with clogged toilet. Requested for an upgrade because we can't sleep properly. No complimentary service and staff didn't apologize. Instead, just focused on charging us. The new room's AC is hot as hell. We've been in the room for more than 2H, still it is hot. Called for room service, lady just said it is working. AC is not clean and the toilet is clogged again. All Floors are made of wood. Would not recommend.

This is a “party” hotel, happened to us this early morning at 2am. There are some hourly guests check in our next room. They was turn music super loud and party in the room at 2-3am. I been calling down operator twice to complained about it. They still keep party with music loud. We love to stay here, we been stay here few times when we back visit VN. But this is last time. Will not stay again. Not recommend to guests with families.
