RedDoorz Plus @ Pham Ngu Lao 2 in Ho Chi Minh

An option if you look for a budget hotel near to Bui Vien. The room is adequate. The bathroom is clean. Also, there is elevator too. However, this place is near to bars and cafes so it will be an issue if you prefer a quiet place to sleep.

Stayed 3D2N with my wife at top floor. 6th floor, front facing room with balcony. Need to walk up the stair case after exiting the lift at the top floor (5th floor).

GOOD: Hands down best bed mattress ever, soft and comfortable even comparable with some 5 star hotel. Jacket stand is something I appreciate. The balcony received lots of sun light so drying laundry is great. Internet is working and acceptable speed. Clean toilet and interesting layout that actually works. Air cond position is nice. Nice door card key system. Despite the BAD... the price and value stay earn 4 Star. Would give 4.5 Star if such option available.

BAD: A little old and homely feeling (some ppl might appreciate this, not me). Directly opposite of buddhist temple with passionate monks are passionate but I don't appreciate their constant chanting at night. No toilet door latch/lock, you will have to "McGuyver" it to keep it close. Air cond is ancient and took forever to cool the room. Room feels a little cramp with many furnitures. Receptionist could use some smiling practise but otherwise nice lady.
