The hotel is divided into three zones. Area: residential, quiet area with pool and a private beach area And and bouncy, a restaurant, a swimming pool, there is also a private beach; in these zones are open to people not staying at the hotel. Rooms are located on a hill, about a 5-10 minute walk to the beach.

Consists of forty-nine 1-storey cottages.
Just 49 rooms.

Beach: own sandy, 1 line, 50 m from the hotel. Umbrellas, sunbeds, mattresses, towels – free of charge. The length of the beach – 800 m.

Half of the island is solely used for the mud bath section of the various day trips visiting the island, which is then totally empty in the morning and evenings and makes for a nice peaceful walk.
The breakfast buffet was very high standard and plenty to choose from, the seafood buffet was more expensive than most places you could eat on the mainland but was still worth it in my opinion due to the variety and quality of the food. The only criticism of the restaurant area was that when there wasnt live music (which was very pleasant) that they played music far too loud and stressful for a relaxing dining experience. You also had to be careful when choosing your seat, as the sparrows living in the rafters like to take a crap on them now and then! (It would be a bonus if the staff were a little more attentive to this).
All in all i can highly recommend this resort, the mainland is also accessible by a free ferry service every 1-2 hours, if tranquil island life gets too boring.
I stayed at Hon Tam Resort in January 2026 expecting a luxury island experience based on the resort’s advertising. Unfortunately, the reality fell well short of those expectations.
Our booking for five adults and two children was confirmed multiple times months in advance, yet on arrival the villa was set up for only six guests. Despite clear written confirmations, extra payment was required so that everyone could have their own bed, which left a very poor first impression.
While the villa looked appealing, it was not properly prepared for the number of guests. There were only six dining chairs, no kitchenware despite a kitchen being advertised, and the outdoor areas were largely unusable. Although the villa included a private pool, outdoor space, and balconies, the only furniture provided was two sun loungers placed away from the pool, with no outdoor table, chairs, or balcony seating. This meant we couldn’t relax together or comfortably supervise children swimming.
Dining options were very limited. Despite expectations of multiple restaurants, there appeared to be only one main place to eat during our stay. A paid buffet dinner looked nice but was mediocre in flavour and did not feel luxurious.
Accommodation standards were inconsistent with a five-star resort, including issues with linen and upholstery cleanliness and ongoing problems with low water pressure and fluctuating shower temperatures.
There were some positives: the breakfast buffet was good, the spa massage was excellent, and the ferry terminal arrival experience created a strong first impression of luxury.
Overall, this was a disappointing stay for the price paid and did not deliver the luxury experience advertised. I share this review so other travellers can make an informed decision.
They need to improve on following -
1. Bath tub - water was flowing away and not staying
2. AC was not working and had to be repaired. They repaired it in 1 hour
3. Water flow in shower was quite slow
Overall inspite of above issue - I rate the property 8/10 and recommend to all
