Griffon Hotel in Novyjj Afon

We're currently staying at the Griffin. We've already told each other several times how glad we were! If you stay like us, with a view of the entrance, you get a wonderful view of the mountains, the cypress alley, the sea, and the Ferris wheel!
I've read some negative reviews, too; as they say, you can't please everyone! Yes, the rooms aren't perfect: the shower stall and sink are very small, but they were cleaned every day, and towels were changed every three days or as requested. We didn't see any insects in the room! As some people have written, there's a fairly large refrigerator, decent beds, a large closet, and even hangers. We had to buy them in Sochi, which was scarce, and the refrigerators in Sochi are tiny—a watermelon wouldn't fit!
We were completely satisfied with our room! The furniture is decent, the TV, air conditioning, and the balcony is large!

The best part is the Griffin restaurant downstairs!!! We've eaten at many cafes and restaurants in N. Athos. But I still liked our Griffin the most. The selection is vast, the portions are huge, the dishes are beautiful! Everything is delicious and original! I've even adopted a few recipes! The best thing is that it's not expensive. We compared the cafeteria and our restaurant's prices aren't that different, but the restaurant's food is better!!! The girls are all very attentive and polite, and they'll help you if you're unsure what to choose!!!

The sea is a leisurely 10-minute walk away. Along the way, there are cafes, cafeterias, shops, and a seaside park with a pond, swans, and ducks.
The beach has both large and small pebbles, and there's sand. It's not perfectly clean, but everything is fine! The most important thing is the crystal-clear sea!!! And the view from the sea of ​​green mountains! The beauty is a feast for the eyes!!!
We are very happy with our vacation!!! We leave in four days, but we really want to stay here longer!!!

I really liked it. When choosing a hotel, Alan (the administrator) quickly responded to my questions, provided advice, explained everything, and sent me all the detailed information via email.
Great location. All the sights are within walking distance. The room was cozy and clean. The staff was friendly and polite. I especially want to mention the Madonna!
The food in the restaurant was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. The staff was also very polite. If we come back to New Athos, I will definitely return to this hotel.

Nice hotel for Athos. The single room is quite comfortable. But there is a but.
+ Heater, air conditioner, comfortable bed, sockets, high-quality cotton bed linen, refrigerator, bathroom.
- no hairdryer in the room, only two towels. Despite the included heater and air conditioner in the room at zero temperature, it is cool outside the window because of the huge panoramic windows (for which it is not clear, they overlook some kind of dirty courtyard). The restaurant is certainly not bad. But, the prices in it surpassed even Yalta.
During winter, it would be nice to organize the usual affordable set breakfast / dinner, and at least some minimarket at the hotel. The laminate is of course very damaged, four laminate floors could be replaced.
Do not expect excursions in winter, they replied that the weather is bad and the travel agency does not answer.

Great rooms, clean, beds, mattress, showers, plumbing - all in working order, great views. Luxurious location, within walking distance of the New Athos monastery, the cell of Simon Kananit, a park. The breakfasts are good, the only minus is the queue for breakfast. We settled in without any problems immediately upon arrival (early in the morning).

Lovely hotel! The location is very good - all the key attractions of New Athos are within walking distance. The sea is also close. The food is delicious. The downside is music until 23:00. And she was heard from a nearby cafe. But we must pay tribute - at 23 o'clock the silence mode for everyone. Panoramic windows and a view from the window are just a fairy tale. Wai Fai in the room is rather weak, but perfectly caught on the terrace.
The room has everything you need. The staff is friendly, all issues can be resolved. We will definitely come back.

Nice hotel, in a good location, everything is close by. The rooms are not small. Detergents are reported every day. Not suitable for those who love silence. The walls are made of cardboard, the snoring of a neighbor is heard, as if nearby. And if they get up behind the wall or go to bed earlier, it's completely noisy. The linen does not differ in whiteness.
And so everything is fine. The staff is friendly, there is a restaurant. Odd rooms have a nicer view from the balcony. Nearby is a souvenir market. A ten minute walk to the grocery market. Not far from the seaside park and the sea itself. The location is great.
