This is a very clean and peaceful hotel right at the bottom of the street that takes you up to the old town and the castle. The selection of local restaurants and grocery stores is much better around here than uphill.
What really makes this hotel exceptional is the genuine care and attention of the lovely couple who run it. You can feel their sincerity and warmth. When I arrived, the lady gave me so much help to locate places, suggestions for activities and help with various things in the room. While it's not in the old town, I found this was a perfect place to see more of local life. Highly recommended!

(went there a few month ago) The owners were super friendly and helpful. And the location was very good, close to almost everything. The owner reccomend to take a walk to the castle even though the road is steep. We're glad she told us because we found lots of gorgeous places on our walk.

Located in the new town area. Good base at Gjriokaster if one carries heavy luggage. 10 minutes walk to the bus stop outside the main road gas station. However, it requires about 30 minutes steep walk to the castle. If anyone wants to walk less, a bus for 30 lek can bring you to the old town at uphill.
Owner is extremely kind and helpful. Room is clean and well equipped. Nice view of the city and castle at roof top.

The best value for money. The host with the warmest heart in Albania. The best place to get away but still be in the city. Comfy room. There are lots of nice restaurants around but they mostly serve chicken and also other things. Its a long walk to the castle but there are taxis around the corner if needed. The roof top of the hotel is a very cosy place to have your morning coffee or have a tee at night.😀

What can i say for this friendly and really helpful couple? I needed a room last minute just for the night and their service and attitude was excellent. The lady speaks 3 languages and maybe more so you will definately get a great communication. The room and bathroom were so clean i felt sorry to use them :D

Good service with a bit of introduction of the manager. The rooms are nice with air condition and good bathroom. A must to check is the terrace with amazing views like the castle.
