Reviews
The spa bath was magical, but unfortunately it wasn’t clean when I switched it on after filling it. Loads of black gunk came out from the jets. I reported it next morning when I was going out for the day and was assured it would be sorted. I asked on my return that evening and was told it had been checked by the maintenance team and cleaned by housekeeping. So I was surprised to find it still dirty when I got back to my room.
Reception were very apologetic and gave me another identical room and a $20 voucher for the restaurant. Still a bit of a pain as I had to pack and move.
Location is pretty good. A short walk to the centre and shops.
Reception staff nice enough. Very robotic. Unfortunately we had a few problems when we checked in that eventually got resolved but only because we kept on reminding staff to do something about it. This left us with a negative impression overall.
We won’t stay here again. There’s better hotels around
Pramesh checked us in and out. So friendly and explained everything especially the complementary car park and all.
We had our breakfast on the last day and even that was so nice.
Location the best, close to everything for dining, shopping etc.
This was a gift for my grandson for his birthday and he just loved and wants to come again.
Definitely we will be there.
Once again the management and staff our first time stay was very memorable.

Our dinner at Marble and Grain was superb. Fair warning, the serving sizes are large and the dessert menu is definitely worth leaving room for! It can get busy so book ahead.
Would definitely recommend.
If I had to complain about something, it’s that the rooms are really warm overnight, even with the A/C. Couldn’t keep the door open overnight as we faced the main road on level 1. The beds are also far too soft and unsupportive. Although the room remains very quiet with door shut.
Otherwise I would happily stay here again. Thank you!
Thank you, will definitely be back!

Was addressed to with thorough distaste when consulting manager (Ian) about the evident problem.
Will not be eating here again unless the Dickson McDonalds sundae machine is broken and/or out of order.
Cya tomorrow I guess.

Which in all stores they do but they weren’t bothered to make a new one.
Slow service and un organised
The cafe seemed busy but we were seated promptly, the waitress took our order not long after we arrived and the drinks came out quickly. However, we waited well over 45 minutes for our food (as did the table next to us). When we enquired as to how long it would be and were told it was 'next' which it clearly wasn't. The staff were careless and did not offer an apology at any time. When the food came there was no 'thanks for waiting' or 'sorry for the delay' - it was just placed in front of us.
When the food arrived it was absolutely appalling. First of all it was cold and extremely mean. I ordered the potato rosti which came with salmon and whipped feta. The smoked salmon was fine (hard to stuff that up) but the whipped feta was not whipped and less than a teaspoon in total. The rosti somehow managed to be dry and greasy at the same time and was inedible.
My mother ordered poached eggs with toast and tomato and was given 1/4 of a tomato and one dry piece of toast (unbuttered).
Despite leaving most of our food on our plate we were not asked at any stage how our meal was. When we went to pay a different waitress was equally unpleasant. When we realised we were charged an additional $4 for the 1/4 of tomato received and mentioned that this seemed unfair it was removed from the bill but again no apology was offered or any questions asked.
The terrible quality of the food was matched only by the appalling and utterly careless service. The cafe was reasonably busy which is astonishing to me. The table of 4 next to us seemed to have the same unpleasant experience.
If we had received so much as an apology for the delay in the food I wouldn't feel the need to write such a negative review but when you're handing over your money to service staff that couldn't care less and a kitchen that produces the worst quality food I've had in years I feel the need to say something. I imagine the service staff behave in such a manner as they've become accustomed to complaints and maybe don't want to put much effort into food they must be embarrassed to serve?
I have no idea how a business survives with such terrible food and service. I would strongly advice you not to waste your money or time on attending this restaurant. There are much nicer places in the city or nearby in Braddon or Acton.
